Brilliant, they are. Especially their Accounts Dept.1. Ageing, much loved dog has major surgery to remove tumour.2. Vet contacts writer several days later to inform him that the tumour is cancerous and asks if there’s anything dog needs to assist in recovery.3. Writer requests additional pain relief to assist in dog’s recovery.4. Accounts Department contacts writer’s wife with request to open new claim with Pet Insurance as painkillers will be required to treat dog’s assumed but undiagnosed arthritis.5. Writer cancels prescription request.I shall allow reader to draw own conclusion.

. Be aware if using them they do not have any local out of hours service, you face over an hours drive with your poorly pet, find a local vet that also had local out of hours cover. I advise you to get a quote before you go, very overpriced.

My local practice in Darlington is a lovely warm and friendly place to go with my dog. The ladies on Reception are always pleasant and helpful, and the vet treats my pet with great care and love - and gains his trust with giving him treats. He is never unsettled or afraid when we go through the door, but just waits his turn.

I love this vet. I have been attend the yarn rd Darlington clinic for years now and have always found the staff friendly ,polite, professional but most of all genuinely caring for both your pet and the owner, from the receptionists to the vet him/herself. They take the time to explain things to you and not rush you. out. Just by speaking to them you can witness the care and love they have for animals, that makes all the difference to me.Thank you Westway I know My very much loved fur baby is in safe hands with you guys x

I have used this vet for years, very good with cats and kittens. Always get you a quick appointment if you are worried. Vets take care to reassure the animals and make friends with them. Particularly sensitive and kind when we had to have our last cat who was 19, euthanased, they came to our house so it was less stressful for him. Vets explain things well and repeatedly if neccessary. Now have two young cats who get into all sorts of scrapes and they cope well with that too.
