Lovely staff, helpful, polite and friendly, despite not necessarily knowing what was on the menu. Food was harty and good value. It would have been a 5* if the beer was better, it was past its best condition IMHO.

Our first time in this pub tonight to see a friend playing music. The atmosphere was so nice and the staff and all the customers were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back soon.

Food was great. And it's a lovely old pub. But there was a little lack of attentiveness at the end when wanting to pay. Still would recommend.

Super Friendly Staff Great Atmosphere but eat upstairs at your peril if it is cold outside It's a very old building and obviously not as warm as modern Buildings The Staff are aware of this and did their very best to provide extra heating.The Food was average,but the Enthusiasm of the Staff and the Top Notch Pint of Harvey's more than compensated.Well done all at The Plough

Beautiful old country pub with lots of character.We went on a Sunday and had the roast beef and nut roast, which were both equally delicious. The sweets looked amazing, but we were too full to have one.The staff were really friendly and helpful.Great selection of beers, wines and spirits.Definitely going again.

Perfect Saturday evening family meal out. Walked into a buzzy, warm and inviting atmosphere. Harrie, our waitress, was super friendly, attentive and ensured that everything was okay for us which made the experience even better. Can definitely recommend the homemade pies. I had the lamb kleftiko pie which was delicious and the whole family were satisfied and happy with their food too! Best pub of revived inns for sure.

We craved a pub dinner and went for a little explore and not being from the immediate area we stumbled upon Rusper. We saw this pub and a quick Google showed good reviews so we thought why not? The pub itself is charming and the atmosphere is good. There is ample garden space at the back but I would say the tables/chairs are on their last legs.. But unfortunately for us the food was disappointing - my other half had some chicken goujons which were dry and tasteless followed by the soggiest, saddest fish and chips I’ve ever seen. I had some mussels which were passable followed by a very underwhelming burger. There is a real lack of any chef’s skill and pride in what they plate up and since I understand it’s under new management I thought this feedback might be constructive. Since food is a primary driver of repeat business, I’d really consider upping the standards. If it had been good, this isn’t too far from us that we wouldn’t come back. But sadly we definitely won’t be returning!

Dropped in on a Thursday evening for their £10 steak night deal and was very pleasantly surprised by the pub and staff.The starter charcuterie board which we shared was lovely and the steaks that followed equally good. The side dish of onion rings was a little disappointing (I think they might have been frozen ones), but overall a nice meal out with very friendly staff.
