Very nice marina. A bit run down but full of character. Very good facilities. Very quiet and peaceful.

I don't really know the place but it is on the route of one of my regular walks with Tich. I give my star rating just on how it has looked to me not as a customerI have seen a few boats out of the water on blocks by the crane. Having work done, usually painting. The little red white and blue boat in the background being one. It's been moved to allow this one to be lifted out. This is the biggest I have seen and the first I have seen being moved LIVE.It was a nice day so me and Tich stopped to watch for a while. You can see her in a few photos, just checking what's going on. She shares my fascination with watching skilled people doing heavy jobs that are new to me.This boat was being moved along to the yard for longer term work I think or maybe it was just too big to leave out by the crane.Anyway that's why it was being loaded onto the trailer, for moving. Obviously it had to be seated firmly and just right to move it. They did a good job, an education watching them get it seated just right. They also have a marina with pontoons running along this side of the river all the way to the SteamboatAlso the yard with boats out of the water being stored or worked on or both. That's just on the other side of the road. That's a quiet 1 way street. If you were using it as a marina it's a nice little spot, quiet with the Steamboat tavern 50 - 100 metres along, local shops Including Co-op just up the road. The famous Ipswich Waterfront is visible across the water and accessible with just a short 10 minute walk, close enough to use, far enough to miss most of the noise but you can usually hear most of the events from this side of the river.

The cheaper pontoon for small boats is really shabby and unsafe. The entrance path is weeds and gravel with a ten foot sheer drop into the water or mud. No time or money is spent on looking after this pontoon and the boat owners. The owners of debbages should be prosecuted for having such a scruffy, dangerous and badly or not at all maintained place. It is a health hazard.

A more chilled and layed back place to be with your boat. Surprisingly quiet considering the central location!
