Myself and my family would like to thank James Ashton and Sons and especially David, after my brother Malcolm passed away in January 2023. As we live down south, David arranged everything for us via phone and email. Everything was done with care, respect and professionalism which made this difficult time a bit easier. From our first phone call to Ashtons Jamie was on hand to assist us whenever required. Having a dedicated person to oversee and guide the family through the whole process was very much appreciated. The wider team based in the office were very professional and efficient while remaining sensitive to the circumstances. Nothing was too much trouble. The family would highly recommend Ashtons.

I have recently had to arrange a funeral for my grandad. Though this was difficult, the whole process was faultless and I was made to feel at ease.We chose Ashtons as they had also carried out my grans funeral, 6 years previous which was also perfect.Cannot thank Jamie enough. He went above and beyond my expectations, nothing was too much trouble. He was very attentive, compassionate, caring and professional all at the same time.Everything was smooth and communication from him was fast and clear. My grandad was treated with much respect and dignity.Thankyou all again.

Colin Wightman of James Ashton & Sons attended the sudden death of our sister on a Sunday morning in June. I can not praise Colin enough for his compassion, empathy and professionalism shown to us in the most difficult of circumstances. Colin and his staff, Kerry and Zoe, could not have been more helpful and kind to the entire family. I am very happy to pass on my experiences with James Ashton and Sons.Sadly, I have had to avail myself of the assistance of JA and Sons twice in the space of two years. Once for my uncle and recently for my dear mother. James Ashton have a long-held and fantastic reputation in Dundee for a good reason. They looked after my family and I so well after my Dad's death. The preparations, cremation, service and internment all went smoothly. I can't thank them enough for their care and respect, and for just being wonderful human beings!
