D.G.Webb came and did some work in my flat. Very happy with the quality of work and finished product. Quick and easy to speak to them, and they were happy to take onboard my wishes. Would recommend to friends and family and use again for any job.

Worse builders ever award goes to DG Webb! Not sure how much Google will let me publish, so I'll try to keep this short and let the photos where possible paint a thousand words. Here's why I'd never use these guys again. Lack of planning: floor was laid and then dug up to accommodate pipework and electric cable. Skylight window incorrectly fitted so rain/melting snow ran down the underfelt. Wall built under the skylight window so it couldn't be opened. Underfloor heating damaged and unusable in it's current state before it's even been commissioned. Walls so crooked the plasterer had to build up the wall with 2inches (5cm) of plaster. Appliances damaged and covered in dirt. Despite a skip out front, the garden left with rubbish stacked up, often with sharp objects (nails in wood) protruding. Radiator broken and escape of water damaging carpet. Holes drilled through pipes, and straight through walls to good plaster the other side. Tools left lying where they were last used (including outside in the wet). Ignoring the danger of leaving sharp blades about, if a workman can't respect his tools, what respect do you think he has for his work. Soil pipe flash work appalling. And to top it off, they have now abandoned the work, leaving us with a worksite for a garden, complete with a very large deep hole where they were going to put a soakaway, and no usable kitchen. Please take time to look at the photos and you'll see I'm not even close to exaggerating.Update and in response to Owner:The photos are accurate, unless you are suggesting that someone was going to take the plaster off the wall to straighten it. As for the rest of your response, it is full of lies, but you know that because we've already had this conversation privately where is was clearly stated that due to the poor ongoing quality issues, we didn't want you back, but we did need you to come back as you left us without a kitchen, a dangerous garden, several jobs unfinished and kitchen fitters scheduled. As for the payment terms, I paid exactly what we had agreed and is on your document, but when you wanted me to pay your sub-contractors directly to avoid them going through your books (and so avoiding the much needed National Insurance contribution) I refused, then you left and went on to another job, apparently not for the first time, without any further conversation. Your brother even said see you Monday, having spent the day secretly taking away any useful materials that I had paid for.

D G Webb have done a number of jobs for my family and I over the years, every one has been top notch and I would happily recommend them to anyone reading this. Most recently we had them come and make some alterations to our bathroom, including some tiling and installing a new shower screen. We were really happy with the finished work, which was to a very high standard and fixed a problem we previously had where water was starting to get onto the wall under the tiles. Even though we’d used them before this job, D G Webb were still competitively priced and were able to beat other Tradesmen's quotes.Other work we’ve had done includes brickwork on damaged garden walls (which were not only fixed but improved by their work), and repairs to our chimney at home, which was leaking water into the master bedroom and causing a severe damp problem. Since they sorted this we have had no further problems. Even though the work was at the top of a scaffold tower and would never be seen from the ground, they still took real care and pride in the finish, making sure it was all pointed up to look good and that all the lead work was water tight.D G Webb are the kind of tradesmen you don’t see around very much any more, trustworthy, well priced, really easy to communicate with and always happy to chat if you have any concerns or questions. They are friendly and polite, work quickly and efficiently and produce really high quality work which you would struggle to find elsewhere.I can very happily recommend their services to anyone reading this, and would without a doubt use them again for any work in the future.

Don't risk your children and pets!I wish there was an option to give zero stars, I don't usually write negative reviews and the reason we went with DG Webb and Sons was because we wanted to support a local business. How I live to regret that.Despite having a skip on the drive, our garden has been constantly treated like a waste dump with no regard for our garden-loving pet. Nails are left poking out of wood, tools are left on the ground where they were last used (thankfully no kids around to pick up the sharp blades) and our pet fur-baby was almost blinded when they left some steel mesh with its sharp points at his head height with no warning tape or consideration that it was put out at night and impossible to see. If you love your little ones, don't risk their health and avoid these so-called builders. There have been numerous issues with poor quality of work with time being wasted having to rectify glaringly obvious mistakes. Whenever there have been issues the brother who deals with the business side refuses to speak with us in person to resolve our issues and concerns, instead choosing to hide behind emails. Not withstanding Covid restrictions, I am sure this could have been resolved with a simple visit, but instead, in the middle of a pandemic, we are left stressed, angry and having to find replacement contractors who will be willing to take on the mess they have left us in. My main concern is that we will struggle to find someone who will take on rectifying their shoddy work, also that any guarantee on the work they have done is worthless as a lot has been left unfinished and how can we trust any guarantee when they seem to have no integrity as is shown by walking out on the contract they have with us.I am posting this review as I don't want anyone to be left in the same situation as us.*UPDATE - RESPONSE TO OWNER*I am entitled in my own right to voice my opinion of the poor work, standards and complete lack of integrity that I have experienced in using your business. This is the 21st century and women are now allowed to speak. We accepted the use of the garden in between skips, but not in place of. Skips were not removed when full but left for very long periods whilst our garden was pilled with dangerous rubbish. We had it made clear before you started work due to COVID restrictions in going out, Patch needed to be able to use the garden and that the site should be left safe and secure once you had finished for the day. On numerous occasions our side gate was left propped open and materials dangerously stored resulting in Patch's injury. Covering the soakaway only happened because I had asked for it, but you have still left us with a dangerous mess. When ever we had issues Mark chose not to walk down the same street he lives on to talk to us, but hid behind emails. Mark did come on site to normally to help as work was falling behind, but never to discuss our many complaints. Your term 'project manager' is laughable as there has been no management of this work what so ever and is the underlying reason why we are in this horrible mess. Floors were laid, only to be dug up to lay the pipes and electrical cables, surely if this was a managed project that wouldn't have happened? You are correct, I did make tea for both Mark and Rob, in fact I made tea for Rob as he sneakily cleared up and then left our site in the most cowardly manner after shouting out 'See you Monday'. You were not 'forced' to leave our site, you chose to do so, even before the next payment was due. We paid more than the terms of our contract (your own documentation) and when my husband said that he would amend the next weeks payment to reflect this, you said it was an additional payment. The Payment wasn't due until the Wednesday and yet you threatened to stop working the Thursday before, rather then walk down the road the short distance to discuss in person.Your work and the lies you have responded with clearly show you lack your father's integrity. He would be ashamed of what you have done to his company and his good name.
