Sheep Proof Your Dog

We took our Cavalier King Charles and Shih Tzu for the training and it worked wonders! Tobin was fantastic and would highly recommend to anybody looking to enjoy the country walks.

Worked amazingly well for our rescue who was reactive - one 30 minute session and instruction from Tobin solved the issue with other dogs, having tried several trainers and behaviourists who suggested Tobin it was truly a life saver. Now not reactive to other dogs (just took about 3 months following the session of practice) would highly recommend

What a great idea - we are looking to move to Wales soon but very nervous that our Springer Spaniel can’t read the signs and may harass the local sheep and get shot! This course is run by a very enthusiastic gentleman, name of Tobin Bird, who did an outstanding job of scaring the pants off of my wife and I. Oh, and the dog too! Within a short time our lively playful dog was hugging the deck and shaking every time Tobin yelled and rattle a bottle full of stones. By about 45 minutes we were confident to go away and reinforce the training at home, and therein lies the catch: yelling at our dog and terrifying him whenever he looked sideways at a rabbit or squirrel is simply too difficult - it takes all the fun out of the dogs daily exercise runs. I don’t have a smart answer, because the training is brilliant, its down to we dog owners to decide how to proceed. So we’re not going anywhere near sheep then!! Great course, lousy pupils.

We took our 7 month old working cocker to be sheep proofed this morning not quite sure what to expect but Tobin was really lovely and very knowledgeable, I was astounded by how quickly this works, Jax went from pulling towards the sheep (he is fearless) to being able to walk off lead across a big field full of sheep in about 15 minutes. We will continue to embed this in our own training now but I can honestly say that this is quite literally a life saver for prey driven dogs who go recall deaf when there’s a better offer out on a walk. Tobin’s own dogs are a wonderful example of his experience and knowledge, they were a joy to watch working.

Excellent . My dog has very high prey drive but got the message and now tends to lie down and observe rather than rush at other animals. We need to practise however, but I am very grateful for this opportunity.
