Platinum Alloys

I had a bent wheel rim, that was causing my tire to go flat. Platinum Alloys said they could sort it within 48hrs, which I thought was a good level of service, but when I explained that I had a long drive ahead they said they would fit me in the same day (actually all done within 40mims) despite obviosly being really already.. All of the staff I met there were friendly and professional. Great company. Great team. Would highly recommend.

Wheels looked good from a distance until you get up close and see debris under some of the paintwork. The office staff are just robots trying to get work priced up and through the door and aren’t really interested in helping resolve any issues when raised from my experience. The manager or perhaps he is the owner is really nice to your face but don’t expect too much as he talks the talk but is fullof excuses.It also shows how much this company value their customers feedback or how they deal with customer complaints due to the fact that any review they don’t like they just put the words FAKE review in their reply.

Having dropped my car off Monday and been told the process would likely take until Friday I was pleased to be called late this morning (Wednesday) to be told my vehicle was ready to collect. I have the wheels refurbished and repainted gloss black. The wheels look brand new and I was very impressed with the customer service side aswell. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking to refurbishments or colour changes on alloys.I do have a 2 VERY minor issues:My key was scratched a bit due to being in a bag with the locking wheel nut, the key wasnt brand new and with some cleaning and oil to bring back the plastic its good as new. It's a 6 year old key, it's already a bit beat up so not a big drama.My tyre pressures was quite high. They should have been 34 F and 32 R according to spec but were about 38 F and 38 R, not dangerous at all but a bit high. I have let them down very slightly which took all of 2 minutes.However both of these are very minor issues and to be honest they only stand out due to the great service and workmanship I received here. It's not something that would put me off this place though I might specify these issues be addressed if I ever came back.Definitely check this place out!

Dropped my wheel off Tuesday and collected it Thursday. The refurbishment is great and looks like new. Looks great, would definitely go there again. Thank you very much.

I have welded an alloy at them this year in May and I have asked for photos or videos of the work (previous to start the work and after work) but the garage told me that they are not providing this service (how someone can pay for something what he is not seeing?), after only 3 weeks, the same alloy (welded at Platinum) have broken again. When I return to them, the lady at the office told me that the repair will be done at no cost (excepting the fact that I lost that day because I wasn’t able to travel to work). After the wheel was welded again no pictures or video of work, and 5 months later, the same wheel have broken again. I visited a different business to welding the same wheel and they told me “ Just working on your wheel. Previous work by the other places has not been good, and is now causing me extra work to try and sort it for you. I have taken pictures and video to show you.” That dude who is doing the welding at Platinum is awful with his welding… I can prove with pictures and videos what “work/welding” was done at Platinum Alloy, sadly I forced him to give as review one star but compared with work what was done to my wheel, they don’t deserve even a star …Will never visit that place again

I dropped my car Monday and all job was done already Thursday midday.fully repaired all four wheels and painted from silver to black.Excellent job has been done for short term high quality painting & repaired all wheels balanced perfectly.All Staff very friendly and polite.Was pleasant to make deal with this service!Definitely I would use this service again without hesitation!Thank you guys!!!!

As you can see from the photos my 18 year old Golf alloy wheels were in a pretty bad state. Two of the wheels were so bad that they would completely deflate in about 2 days. Platinum alloys did an amazing job - the wheels look like new and I no longer have to pump up the tyres every time I use the car.

Bought 4 wheels up from North Devon for full alloy refurb having already received excellent service earlier this year. Another amazing job done, with the team going above and beyond (and some) with a further damaged alloy!Thank you all so much, platinum customer service as always, can’t recommend these guys enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
