My mum hired Inderjit Singh to redo bathroom. He took a deposit and additional £300 for some materials (plasterboard etc) and agreed a start date. So far paid him £1500 labour + £300.The start date was delayed by 2 weeks, Inderjit said his mum died and went to India. Upon return from India, he dropped his worker to make a start on the job and stripped the bathroom. Inderjit then informed that he had covid and couldn’t drop his worker off, so work was delayed again. My mum had to wait daily to see if the worker would turn up and numerous times someone would come late or in the afternoon instead of the morning, there was no consistency or communication.Work completed so far is to a substandard level – see pictures.- The radiator has been installed misaligned to the water pipes.- The pipes/plumbing are exposed.- Left a mess/ grouting on floor and ruined the floor tiles- Made a hole in the door to pass electric cable through, damaged the door and health and safety hazard. Loose wires visible, electric hazard.- Left extractor fan loose wires above the shower. Electric hazard.- The worker broke the toilet cistern lid and blamed my mum.- Poor tiling- Inadequate sealing around the bathtub- Cash taken for materials, no receipts provided and any surplus materials i.e. plasterboards taken by builder.Now, we are in the process of rectifying all the above works carried out by RH Midlands Builders LTD. Cowboy builders who hire unqualified workers illegally. Reported to Trading Standards. Avoid at all costs.
