Absolutely shocking company.I gave every piece of information they asked for and even more and that still wasn't good enough for them!!I lost out on a perfect house because of this company, I would strongly advise you use someone else.I work 2 jobs and my second job is part time at a new company. Bernadette spoke to my manager, who sent proof of me working there, I sent proof of payslips and bank statements and that still wasn't enough proof apparently. She claimed I was self employed and declined my application. No where did I tell her I was self employed nor did the company I work for.If I could give 0 stars I would.

I had fantastic experience with UKtenatdata team. Natasha, who was assigned on my case was very helpful and very prompt in her response. Though my case landed during the peak holiday time, Natasha did her best to get the referencing checks complete within 2 days.I am thankful to Natasha and team who helped me in easy move in.

These Forms are atrocious as I was hopeful to move from a council property to a Private let and there was no logical way to put my local council into the application. quote from a previous review We also requested a copy of your P60 or personal tax summary which is required for employed applicants. Absolutely disgusting service. Have been going through referencing with this agency with my husband to rent a flat. When filling out the form, I noticed that rent payment specified 50/50 between me and my husband, called UK tenant data to correct it as the rent is paid fully by my husband. Natasha, who I spoke with on the phone promised it will be corrected once they get both of our applications. When filling out mine, I specifically said that rent is paid by my husband, as well as uploaded 2 documents confirming that. My husband also made sure he specified that in his application. His wage is over double than minimum one required for that property so it should have been a done deal, yet UK Tenant data manage to ruin it. Today we find out that I haven’t passed referencing as the 50/50 part still was not corrected. Absolutely horrific, will be filing formal complaint for both employees who I spoke on the phone as well as the one who “worked” on our case!

We were introduced to Uktenantdata when we applied for a rental property, the estate agent we used outsources its tenant referencing to this company.We each received an email from the above with a request to give names, date of birth and email etc.Having done this it takes you to another page as it attempts to 'build a passport' in its own words using all your private and personal data.The platform is easy to navigate for the first few pages as it requests answers to simple questions. Then it becomes clear that it is not user friendly, it has been poorly thought out and doesnt appear to have any ongoing technical updates.For example, it requests that you input a 'next of kin', a simple request but then it states 'next of kin cannot live in the same property as you'. Ok, this raises a serious data protection issue, as you cannot bypass this question without responding, so in our case we had to write the name of someone who had no relationship to us other than a friend. Do we want this person informed of something before our adult children or husband/wife? This needs changing asap.The next issue is for those who are self employed, do you have an accountant? If you do, fine. If you deal with your own accounts and tax returns, you are stuffed here. They require a name, address and email of accountant. You cannot move on from this without inputting details. problematic if you don't have one then. To get to the next page we had to input our own details, we then received an email from UK TENANT DATA addressing us as our own accountants and requesting all the usual personal info etc. These are two examples of an extremely difficult website to navigate.Having input current LL details, LL was then duly contacted and gave his reference. Having seen the contact from our current LL we can see that there are no checks in place to confirm LL is indeed LL. The person dealing with our references appeared to be efficient, we received an email requesting us to hurry our current LL in contacting them as they were not answering.On advising them in a return email that we were not accountants but we had no option other than to input our own details they requested our last tax return which we submitted via taking photos of it, as there is no instructions for uploading it into their software. Another email advising they couldn't find it, eventually they found it.All in all, not the easiest site to navigate, updates required, built like a school project without forethought.Staff appear to be efficient but working towards commissions.Major issue for companies looking to outsource their refs procedure, UK Tenant Data do not use openbank, so especially in the case of the self employed they rely on tax returns which we know are not live and current.' They do not give a true reflection on current earnings and therefore affordability. In our case we earn a lot more now and in the last six months than we did when we submitted the last tax return. So had UK Tenant data used openbank like many ref agencies now do, we would have likely passed the affordability ref.This was our only failure. As I said to the estate agent, its a lottery depending on which referencing company you choose to use.The potential for clients to fraudulently get through the process cannot be underestimated. UK tenant data do not appear to have access to the best software nor do they appear to have strict and robust systems in place to deter applicants inputting fraudulent data and don't have the software for using enhanced checks to verify information.I will also add here that they do work on a commission basis when it comes to insurance, utilities etc. Agencies that use the above can receive commission if they refer tenants for utility changes etc, allowing the above to use your personal data for informing companies of your moving in details and other personal details. I think it is important for clients and users to be aware of anything that works on a commission basis for either company.Do your research before using any company such as this one.

I can't get my head around the stuff they flag- my employment refrance came back invalid because my employer lives overseas" she doesn't - she's Lithuania and the only thing that would indicate that on the reference would be her name and the companies email -her contact numbers are both UK lines isn't that enough evidence that she doesn't live overseas?! How was any of a big enough issue to flag??. They didn't even enquire about it to her but they did however red flag my employment reference

Absolutely shocking company. The management need to be sacked and need to learn serious customer service skills and self awareness. My brother in law was looking to relocate with his small children but Bernadette tried to do everything she could and succeeded in declining him. References all submitted very quick, even having to provide more references due to not accepting personal emails. Fair enough but very rude in response and lacking in integrity. Landlord was grilled and honestly this company sounds like a fraud. Take every piece of information off you and then don’t respond to tell you the outcome.Other referencing company passed him on houses x3 the rent of this house he was trying to locate to but these jobs worth have unattainable goalposts.Racism springs to mind really.

Even if I gave all the information from day one, they wasted more than two weeks of my life, request me the same things all over again, I went into an unbelievable stress while pregnant, they couldn't explain why they were doing that. I waste a large amount of money because of them, don't use it, they do awful job and you can't have justice for it.

Shocking customer service or shall I say non existent service to consumer. No updates on progress of tenancy application.... I was hounded with utility sales calls from them and when I told them I was going to sort it myself that’s when the main problem started.They have shared my details and given wrong move in date to Npower ( despite me stating that I will move my provider Octopus with me!) I rang Npower over and over and still am getting contact from them. Ive asked UKtenantdata to rectify moving date issue with Npower and 3 weeks later still got no response.Today I’ve received council tax bill asking to pay the tax when I wasn’t here. As UKtenantdata have provided the date incorrectly to council as well I am now having to pay tax for extra 3 weeks when I was at old address. I am now having to rectify the error UKtenantdata made. Avoid avoid avoid

All of the information they require is absolutely ridiculous. I have done referencing before and never had to provide what they require. And they take so long to do anything with the information you give them. You call and call and they never call you back and take ages to deal with your emails sent to them. I know your busy but if your workload is too much get more staff!! Our estate agents were absolutely fantastic but I think this company really let them down
