My kids bought an afternoon tea voucher for Christmas for their grandparents. They had such a lovely time and the food was delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Anyone thinking of going there we would highly recommend it. Thank you so much for making them feel so special.

This little restaurant is not used enough, the hotel has been painted and modern but old if that makes and Sense. The staff are great and can not be any more kinder. It has a nice bar and we had Xmas dinner and it was great. They need to tell people they are there. Totally totally recommend that you go there for afternoon lunch or dinner or just a pint in the bar.

Had a complimentary night at West house as compensation for things not being good when we stayed last December, at time of ownership change and start of refurbishment.The staff could not do enough for us, free bottle of bubbly and offer of taxi to a restaurant as evening meals not yet available. Room was stunning and very comfortable, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Nearly all rooms have now been refurbished to a very high standard. We couldn't beleive the transformation.Delicious breakfast and very friendly waitress who sorted every request quickly and easily.Highly recommended.

Well wow! Me and my family just came back from having food here… ans it definitely did not disappoint. Infact my husband was shocked as I’m always fussy and complaining about food. But all the words I have to say about the food here is absolutely deliciously amazing! Such friendly staff and atmosphere too! This is my local anyways..but since new managers and the refurbishment it’s been absolutely outstanding! Definitely recommend.. x

I visited for the first time with a friend today for afternoon tea. An absolutely gorgeous venue for this! The staff were attentive and helpful. The selection of sandwiches and cakes was excellent. Dog friendly too. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

The day manager was a peach,we had been told there were no lower rooms available but booked anyway,when we arrived the manager informed us that he was able to give us a room on the first floor, I'm on crutches so that was wonderful! The room was lovely and VERY clean. They've been closed during the whole COVID-19 time and just opened. The only problem was our t.v. worked poorly and the WiFi wouldn't come in. The bar was very nice but no chef yet.

Really comfy one-night stay in newly refurbished hotel. WiFi access in room would've been useful (room info said it was only available in the bar area). Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again. Thanks to Anna for her help.

Absolutely wonderful afternoon tea yesterday. Such a beautiful setting. Viewed the rooms. All stunning. Staff most helpful. Booked Sunday lunch and Valentines night dinner. I'm sure we wont be disappointed. Lets support this local gorgeous hotel/restaurant/bar.

Stayed for two nights as we were travel through. Generally a very nice compact hotel with very friendly and welcoming staff. It is dog friendly which is fine by me, but may put some people off. Rooms were on the small size but nice and clean. No air con which again is ok with me but may put some people off. Bathroom was compact with only a standing shower cubicle. Compared to the bedroom the en suite could have done with modernising and there was mould stains in shower. Not a big thing to sort so I'm surprised it wasn't done. We opted to have breakfast included at n extra £5 per day. It is buffet style with cereals and a cooked English. For £5 each it was good value. Overall we enjoyed our stay but felt it was lightly over priced.
