Very insightful, informative class! Joyce & Annie bring their passion to the course and offer excellent tips to prepare for the birthing process - myself and my husband are both doctors, which hasn’t helped with anxiety surrounding birth as we are taught the good and the bad as students. Joyce & Annie are so knowledgable, but it was their friendliness as well as their professionalism that drew us to them. The techniques we learned have been really helpful - we feel more relaxed, prepared and empowered for our baby’s birth, however it happens. We really valued the lessons on caring for the baby and enhancing the role of the birth partner. To anyone thinking about booking the course - just do it! We are so glad we did and we got so much out of it, we highly recommend attending!

This was the most incredible course & I wish I could do it all over again! The first night we got taught about the actual stages of labour and birth which my partner and I found really useful. We were taught what hypnobirthing actually is & how it can be used in any setting whether its a home birth, hospital induction or c-section. The 2nd night was amazing in which it was all focussed on the birthing partner & their role. It included things like light touch massage, robozo technique, setting the room up for the birth & their role. My fiancé loved this night!! On the last night we learnt more about how to care for baby once they are here and it was so exciting. Each week Annie & Joyce led us in guided meditation/relaxations and we felt so at ease & found out how important it was to take time out before baby arrives to practise breathing & relaxation techniques. Annie & Joyce were incredible and have been such a lifeline for me during this pregnancy. Could not recommend this course highly enough!!

My husband and I attended Joyce and Annie's classes at Hillsborough Village Centre and loved every week of it. They have created an excellent course that balances practical exercises with theory, all while creating a lovely relaxing environment. I thought that hipnobirthing was simply about breathing, which is part of it, but there was so much more relevant content on the course that me and my partner found invaluable. I was anxious and stressed about labour and birth, but after the course I feel so much more empowered and knowledgable. Annie and Joyce are warm, supportive and positive, and their knowledge and experience was invaluable to me in preparing for my baby’s birth.

Myself and my partner attended the hypnobirthing course in anticipation of our first baby. We travelled to take the course and looking back after now given birth to our baby I can say it was well worth it. Joyce and Annie were fantastic at teaching the course, really getting you into the mindset of hypnobirthing. What we found on the day of labour most valuable was the knowledge Joyce & Annie provided about labour itself and what to expect in different scenarios - this really helped me & my partner remain (semi) calm when things didn’t go 100% as expected. I would recommend this to any first time parents!

Myself and my husband highly recommend the classes that Annie and Joyce run. They are very knowledgeable in their field and come with a lot of experience. Each night, we came away with more knowledge about before, during, and after birth and how to use calming techniques to remain as calm as possible during all stages. Annie and Joyce provide an invaluable course for Mums to be and their birthing partner. The knowledge and support shared by these two experienced mid wives during the Birth Prep classes has 100% reduced my apprehension surrounding what is to come as a first time Mum!
