I wouldt expect any securiy guard too point and whisper and laugh to another security guard about anybody who they goerning at that point in time on any site let alone a mental health institution but unfortunatley this is what happened to me outside the oleaster ground december 2019 and to this date my brain still goes over it again and again and again and again and again and again ptsd ? and again and again and again ??? keep it professional got no right doing that to clients of any institution let alone aa mental health bye give much respect to those who care xxx

I came here because good hope had no rooms, for 24H assessment. My “room” was a corridor with bright lights and my “bed” was a vinyl recliner. I wasn’t allowed to get changed into PJS or anything. I felt abandoned and unsafe. This is when I needed the most care and I could hear staff laughing and gossiping in the office which was about 2 meters away. Embarrassing, this is why there is a mental health crisis. This is way worse than any alternative.

Horrific, did more harm than good, the guard and receptionist were really nice, got called by the wrong name, Brian, didn't answer because my name isn't Brian, then got told off for not saying anything, had the big doctor talk to me like I was dirt, referring to me as young man, had to take myself away from the situation, had a melt down not my finest moment. Had to go back because they gave me Brian's medication. Should have made a complaint but I was at the lowest point of my life, thankfully I'm a lot better now and hopefully improvements are made.

What a disgrace of a place to humanity. We have a well meaning neurologist at the QE, who campaigns to stop force feeding at Guantanemo Bay. But Oleaster are expert in using this torture on young people. It's arguable if this procedure is legal or not. Generally, the good reviews are from staff, or staff in training. As a former inmate, I can confirm that they regularly torture and torment inmates. The staff and Doctors lie, over and over. It's easy for them, as who will believe a mental patient, and the trust will do whatever they can to defend these people. PALS are a joke. When I complained to them, they passed.my complaint, to be dealt with, by the person I was complaining about. They take blood, and test for things.without your consent or knowledge. How, in this day and age can this happen?

Not fit for purpose. A major enquiry should be held into the running of this institution. It is obvious that lessons have not been learnt from past experiences. Absolutely shocking & shameful what continues to gone on.

My daughter was referred here following a referral from the QE hospital. I have nothing but total praise for every member of staff. It has been a very dark and truly worrying time for us. The staff are truly angels. Visiting us at weekends and throughout the weekThey are absolutely amazingI would like to thank everyone who helped get my daughter back to health. Your help hasBeen invaluable and I feel like I've won the lottery to have my daughter back to relatively herself again. She is not far off herselfAnyone who comes here must rake on board any advice or meds given if you want to get better. Thank you so much you are all wonderful ❤️

If I could give minus stars I would,Stayed here for a few months. 1 of the worse mental health wards. Patients left covered in blood on the floor another 1 unconscious, I was told I was being discharged in 24 hours with nowhere safe to go so ended up being homeless. Absolute disgrace of a place should be under full investigation!

i came here for my 7 week mental health placement as part of my nursing training at the university of birmingham and i absolutely loved it! I was based on Magnolia ward for my time, but spent days at ECT and Melissa. All of the staff were incredible and always put the patients needs first. I've been humbled by the experience and its made me more interested in working in mental health in the future. anyone who spends time on this ward will be well looked after by the amazing staff!
