The Cat Vet

The Cat Vet is the best vet I ever met! She has a genuine care for her patients and despite their odd moments of mixed feelings about it, our cats would definitely agree. If they must see the vet, it really should be at home.We've had three lots of check-up and vaccination done now and everything you might expect to happen at the vets, can happen just as effectively wherever the cat is. They've been weighed, had bloods taken and had vaccinations. Even had an over long claw trimmed!Price is pretty much the same as going out to the vet. Probably much better value actually, given that each cat is a little VIP and is never rushed.Appointments are quickly arranged to fit round your schedule, medications if needed, if not immediately to hand, are dropped off in the next day or two.No sneaking around with the carrier, or mad chases around the house to catch a cat to put into a carrier.A completely stress free occasion for all.

It is really refreshing to be able to sit down and go over everything about my cats without being rushed. Its also great that my Cats weren't stressed. As stress is a cause to a lot of Cat health problems, it is vital that they get seen in a non stressful environment. Jo is fantastic, extremely detailed and very helpful in answering all my questions, putting my mind at ease and being able to help me get an action plan sorted. I would recommend her to anyone.

Our cat Romeo is a bit accident prone so has seen quite a lot of Jo since we registered with The Cat Vet. Having a consultation with Jo is as relaxing as having a good friend round for tea. In fact Romeo would say Jo is one of his best friends. He's always happy to see her, no matter how bad he's feeling.Our other cat is very nervous and Jo's even won her over - she takes her time to understand each cat she sees and their individual needs. We couldn't be more pleased to have stumbled across The Cat Vet.

I cannot recommend Jo, the cat vet more highly! She is courteous, professional and kind. Jo goes so much more than that extra mile for you and your cat as she is such a wonderful empathetic individual! It is hard to achieve the level of personal and progressive support in any way possible other than that offered by her specific dedicated mobile practice. Jo arrived for us with all the required equipment, no fuss, and was so gentle with our cat that I would never dream of having anyone else treating her now. Our usual vet has been more than fine over the years, but it seems when you need the home visit, the gentle personal touch and the low stress approach (the most important to us right now), I would ask for Jo every time!

Jo has been our vet now for over 5 years, caring for my 2 elderly cats who dont much like a trip to the regular practise but rather have Jo and her treats visit them in the comfort of their home. As most cat owners , we have had our ups and downs with our cats and Jo has always been there to offer advise and support. Booking appointments with Jo is simple and she does her best to accommodate times and days and emergencies, as well as getting in touch if she is running late or anything changes. She has a great disposition, very calming for both cats and humans and offers sound advise not only verbally but via social media and her website. She offers suggestions on care and always follows up after her visits, re-iterating any advise and recommendations given during the visit.When requesting repeat prescriptions she responds promptly and arranges very quickly.She shows the utmost love and care to our cats and certainly has a way with animals.

Jo knows her stuff without doubt. She is highly knowledgeable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. She knows whats best for cats and how best to care for them for sure. Thanks for your advice Jo - invaluable and so very much appreciated.

I used Jo when I had a very nervous and temperamental cat and was struggling to take it to the vet. So it appealed to have someone come to the house. Home visits weren't without difficulty as my cat still needed sedating, which was the one thing I was trying to avoid putting my cat through.In comparison to the vet I use now I don't think that Jo's know-how and approach was any better. The differentiator was the convenience of the home visit service (which my current vet offers if needed).When I used Jo there was a consultation fee of £40 and a call out charge of £40, so for a vaccination booster the total cost was £120.Overall rating 3-4 stars.

5 star service for cats. I highly recommend Jo as the most caring, and professional vet for your cat. The appointment was not rushed, and it allowed Tinkie, my cat, and me to build a friendly rapport with Jo. I was relieved not to have the trauma of taking Tinkie to the local vets for a routine booster, as she gets so stressed.

Jo saved my cat's life as I went to Jo for a second opinion as I was not happy with my previous vet's prognosis. Jo advised me to have my cat's blood pressure checked as that saved his life! The previous vet was ready to put my cat down! Such as amazing vet and the most loveliest person ever! Jo is professional, kind and gentle and made my furbaby feel at ease as he can be aggressive with new people. I would highly recommend Jo as she inspires confidence and excels in the best care and support for Furbabies and Furparents! Thank you forever grateful xxx

Jo is a miracle worker. Her love of cats, passion and years of experience have made all the difference to our cats' quality of life. She has a whole bag of tricks that have helped us to manage one of our cat's condition. The stress of the journey to the vets has gone and Jo has always gone out of her way, even while moving house, to ensure our poorly cat wasn't suffering. Even our most anxious cat responds to Jo. We can't recommend her enough.
