All three times I’ve visited this particular branch in Colchester I have felt very unwelcome. The women who have dealt with me come over rude and hostile, and they act like a burden is put upon them to even answer a question!The actual optician(male) was very nice!Judging from the terrible reviews it’s apparent there is a problem with the miserable female staff, and it’s odd that it doesn’t seem to be dealt with!You don’t even get a Good Morning when you walk in, it’s a horrible atmosphere and probably won’t be returning

The team in Colchester were very polite and helpful. My appointment was on time and very thorough.The optician was excellent talking me through everything and even took extra scans and explaining to me the condition of my sight.I felt very well looked after and can only praise the professionalism of everyone there.I didn’t realise how much my eyesight had deteriorated until I looked through the recommended lenses during the examination.A big thank you to the Colchester team and I’m looking forward to my new glasses.

I had my eyes tested at vision express Colchester. My intention was to to order some eyewear from an online outlet as there is obviously a far wider range to choose from.When I asked if that was everything I needed to purchase something elsewhere I was told that they would absolutely not give me the measurements that were required to do so.This was the sole reason for my visit there.Very disappointed.

Some of your staff could be very rude. Without paying attention to the customer problem, they try to underplay it. One needs to sometimes repeat and insist. During my recent visit, I asked what the warranty is for the pair I had bought some 6 months ago, she replied 100 days! I knew it was more but wasn't sure so I persisted and then came the answer that it's 1 year and on logo on the side!! Can you imagine these kind of responses? I felt unwelcome! They are my opticians for many years now. Why shouldn't I go to Specsavers next time!?To make me feel worse, when I set out to leave and said, thank you"

Awful ! Running late appointment 9:50 it was 10:01 guy was like she’ll just have to wait .. very unprofessional staff and after experiencing the rudeness here I’ll also be cancelling my contact lenses subscription and going elsewhere .Oh and my daughter was seen 25 minutes after her appointment scheduled

Vision Express Opticians - Colchester
Staff at the Colchester store are hostile and unwelcoming. Customers seeking assistance are ignored, despite the store being virtually empty. There were at least 4 members of staff just staring at their screens and just 2 customers wandering around. As a visitor to Colchester, I was so impressed with the outstanding customer service I received in every shop I visited last Saturday. I really was not prepared for the rudeness of the 3 staff I approached for assistance in Vision Express and ended up walking out as they refused to look up from their screens and acknowledge they had a customer standing in front of them.

Twice in the space of two weeks my appointment for sight check was cancelled due to either incomplete staff or absence of the optician! Absolutely unprofessional and unreliable place! Awful customer service! Will never use and definitely won’t recommend to my friends or family!
