This church has a unique design. The seating is along the 2 wings at 45 degree angles from the center. Very pleasant inside.

A peaceful and reflective Catholic Church . Supportive of special needs . Good to see women taking the lead in services here , bring on women deacons to heal the breach with communities and this will bring them in .

An approachable and welcoming parish. Arrive at least 15 minutes early on Easter or other holidays to get a seat and dress warmly during the winter months.Sunday Mass times at 11:15 and 17:15.

Got confused between Windermere and Ambleside churches for the Thursday evening mass..Found the church open but in darkness but for the sanctuary light. Was taken by the unusual shape of the body of the church, two main aisles diverging into two separate naves with the foyer and main doors at the split

Church of Our Lady of Windermere and St Herbert
Visited the Lake District and attended Mass at this church while I was here. A very odd looking building with two ailses facing the sanctuary at an angle. Seems a good and living community and we were made to feel very welcome before Mass, ample parking outside and easy to get to. Mass times when I was there were 11:15am on a Sunday and there were a few weekday Masses too.
