Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Nothing too much trouble. They don't ignore you when you turn up kinda scruffy, unlike some other shops in the city. Highly recommended.

I can not rate this place any more highly, went there for suit for my wedding not really knowing what style ect I wanted. Lauren and her staff were so good with us, helping us choose style and colour of wedding suit, tie, shirt and shoes. Which was sold as a package. The quality of the suit and the service was exceptional. I was given advice of how I could wear the suit with jeans ect in the future so I get more than one type of use.The feel and decor of the shop is great, with rustic classy stands selling Hip Flasks, Brace's, Pocket Watches and Ties. It has got a feel of a modern savile row gentleman's tailor's. The service, help and choice of suits all in one place, made one of the important things that needs sorting for a wedding so much easier and actually enjoyable. Thanks Goodfellows

Absolute Five Star service!Really very happy with my appointment for a suit fitting, plenty of choice advice and recommendations on offer and I am so very pleased with the suit I've finally chosen.I really would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

The service we received from Goodfellows has been second to none. Our son was measured for formal menswear hire & when his Year 11 Prom was postponed by 6 weeks, we were invited for a full refit before the suit was ordered.The suit arrived promptly & we were very impressed with the quality, fit & style..our son looked & felt fantastic in his suit.My husband has now purchased a top quality 3 piece suit, shirts & coordinating ties at a fantastic price..we now would not look elsewhere for formal menswear.Our grateful thanks to you all for such superb service & goods, we are very happy customers:-)

Wonderful shopping experience. Went in with a 'lost look' on my face as it's the first time I've needed something like this. Instantly I was offered help by a staff member called Gail who was wonderful and helped me understand everything I needed to do. Got sized up, tried on suits and plenty of customisable options. Never felt more comfortable in a shop! Very happy customer and can't wait to be back to pick up the suit! Highly highly recommend if you need a suit in Cumbria!

Wow! What a gem of a store. The suits are bang on trend and such a great price. Have now bought three suits from here plus shirts, shoes and scarf. The staff really went out of their way to get me exactly what I needed. Definitely a 5 star service and I’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much for an outstanding service.

Went Today was seen by Gayle . Fantastic Service My Husband was nervous for a fitting so I went with him she is so lovely and professional and we had a laugh . So glad we came even went home with something for myself Treat off the Hubbie x

I bought my wedding suits from Goodfellas, nothing was to much trouble for the girl that looked after us, the whole team made us all very welcome and made us all totally at ease, I would highly recommend 5* service.David

Amazing high quality suits, as long as you don't mind being mucked about from start to finish...We were first attracted to this shop for my wedding and loved the quality of the suits, once I'd found one I liked we decided to go for it. Now wishing I hadn't bothered.We were told everyone (bar kids) needed to be in 6 months prior to the wedding for a first fitting, when half of the individuals tried to book this (not all at the same time) they were met with hostility and told it wasn't a big deal them coming in so early.I was contacted 3 times by different individuals from the shop regarding which waistcoat I had picked, surely this should've been written down? Luckily we got the right ones for the day.For some reason no measurements were taken for shirts and some of these had to be guessed by the suit shop which left a few ushers having to provide their own shirts for the day.We were told kids needed to be brought in 3 weeks before the wedding to be measured, which is understandable as kids tend to grow and measuring too soon would ensure the kids suits were too short. However, upon bringing the kids in for measuring 3 weeks prior, we were told it was now too late to order shirts in for them????When I went to pick up the suits (10 of them) nobody offered to help take them to my car with me, not that it's expected but it would've been nice instead of me taking 3 trips.Once I had the suits I decided to get everyone to try them on and it's a good job I did! Half of the stuff was in the wrong bags so it was a guessing game to see who's stuff was who's. As you can see from the picture below, my nephew's entire suit was laughably wrong. £120 for him to look like he's wearing flippers. Again, it's understandable that the kids suits can't be cut or properly sewn in due to the variety of different sizes they'll need to accommodate. But the trousers were incredibly poorly tacked into place, when I rang up to complain I was again met with hostility saying they are to the size that was measured" which of course they weren't. Another individual ended up with 3 different pairs of trousers on the day to choose from as his were wrong aswell.£130 rental per adults suit and £120 for kids rental for half of them to be wrong in one way or another... Absolute joke from start to finish.AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!"
