The Z Hotel Holborn
Nice location, but the room was tiny without a window, and the bed was kind of short for my partner to sleep comfortably. However was well decorated.The bathroom is entirely made of glass, offering no privacy due to the only available sliding door that doesn't close completely. Additionally, it would be helpful if the reception provided an adaptor plug. We had to go out late at night to find somewhere to buy one, which wasn't easy...

This hotel is brilliant for a couple of nights – central location great for exploring and nice staff. Very clean and the air conditioning worked well.Tip: We stayed in the smallest room available (inside no windows) and there was no wardrobe, shelves or drawers. Of course we expected this, but may not be suitable for all travellers.

The staff are excellent. Such a rarity in this day and age. I received a warm welcome. Tia was really supportive with a mistake on my booking (my doing, not Z Hotels) Couldn’t have been any more friendly or supportive. Special mention to both Stefano and Tia. I will use the Z hotel in Holborn again, but only because of the quality of service I received. Hopefully these people are recognised well for going above and beyond…, given the usual standards in the capital. Again, thank you for making my stay pleasurable.

The hotel is exceptionally clean! The staff is incredibly nice! The hotel itself is beautiful, and the room design is both modern and practical.Extra points for a fantastic location, 15-20 minutes on foot or by tube to most of the London attractions!

Absolutely lovely staff, very pleasant stay, the complimentary wine and cheese on Saturday night was delightful. Would definitely stay again. Manager was just a real gentleman.

Lovely hotel Greta design. Perfect for a solo traveller. But the problem are if you travel with someone else there is no space in the room for two bags or to move around. But great location and helpful staff

My manager had booked a room for me in my name (but as her as agent) and the hotel made so much fuss about it and I couldn't check in. In the end, I had to get the credit card from out finance department (that paid for the room) to show it in person before they approved me checking in...and my name was on the booking! So much fuss, oh dear. And the beds were hard as rock. I couldn't sleep much that night. But the location is really great. Nothing to complain there, and the rooms were very clean...the whole hotel was very clean indeed. But I'll probably pick a different hotel the next time.

Stayed for 1 night. Greeting on arrival was very good and pleasant. Receptionist was very polite . We got a family room was plenty big enough for 2 people as we were. Shower was good. Altogether a very nice stay . Would certainly return when in the area. Only downside of the room was if you were with children . Wouldn't think it would be good as bathroom is all frosted glass but no mistaking what is happening behind the glass

Clean, quiet, small, affordable rooms, in a great location - but the bathroom is inexcusably bad. It's made from glass walls that aren't frosted enough, and only to a height of about 5 1/2 feet. The sliding door has gaps no matter where you put it. In short, if you have a roommate, you will have zero auditory privacy and near-zero visual privacy in the bathroom and shower. You'll literally need to trust your roommate to look the other direction. Doubly so if your roommate is tall. Other small-room hotels I've been in don't have these problems, using thicker full-height frosting and better door designs.

There are good things about this hotel. It is bright and welcoming, with a café downstairs. Well decorated and clean. However, the rooms are small with insufficient room to move around in, even for one person. The same is true of the en suite shower. It is cramped and either overly lit or dark. There is no shelf for soap, etc, no shower cap provided, and nowhere to hang towels to dry properly. Having said that, the bed was very comfortable, and there is A/C (albeit a bit loud). I did like the automated blind on the window.The layout of the corridors is odd, and the signage could be clearer.
