The Waterman's Arms
We'd a fabulous weekend stay, staff were so friendly like a home away from home, nothing was too much trouble. The banter we had in the evening in the cozy bar with its open fire and an eclectic mix of patrons was second to none. We enjoyed a slice of nature walking along the Dart river. We even ventured into the local town of Totnes on the Saturday to be greeted by a local market full to the brim with trinkets and foodie stalls to beat the band. We will back, thank you Sarah, Leah and all the staff you made our break so much better than we even thought possible.- A & H from Ireland.

Wonderful food! I had the prawn cocktail, followed by a juicy cheese burger with bacon and delightful chips. And for dessert, a generous sized, moist and rich chocolate sponge and great coffee with cream. Highly recommend the grub here. Thanks so much to Leah.

Really lovely pub in idyllic location by river. Very comfortable rooms and friendly staff at reasonable price. We had dinner at the pub one evening and great options for meat eaters and veggies alike.Just a 10 minute drive to the quaint town of Totnes if you need a bit more of a buzz.

Great stay we arrived late 9pm and the after a long drive from Peterborough, we hadn’t eaten for hours and the kitchen was closed by the time we arrived. They rang the local Chinese for us to have dinner. Highly recommended service was amazing form a real family run business

Lovely little place by the river. Out of the way so someone will need to drive, unless you live in Tuckenhay. Sunday evening we watched fish catching insects and a load of bats flapping around above the water. Beautiful spot. Staff were Very friendly, prices were reasonable and it was interesting watching the locals on their horses etc. Definitely recommend.

Very chilled . Sat outside and had a beer, saw a kingfisher flying by in the river, a streak of blue.Beautiful location, recommended. Great selection of beer

The Waterman's Arms
We were staying close by and had passed this on the way through so we thought we'd pop in. Lovely old pub with outdoor space on the same side and riverside. Gorgeous little spot, we stayed for 3 drinks and saw horses, lots of wildlife and met some lovely people. Only downside was the wasps but that's just nature. We'd go back if that way again

Stunning quiet location just outside Totnes. 2 outdoor areas and a children’s play area. Beautiful spot right next to Bow bridge with plenty of picnic benches to enjoy the idlic place. Staff are very welcoming and the place is nice and clean. Good selection of bar snack for you and your dog and the small birds… tucked away within the trees so it’s never breezy. Last time I visited this place it’s was a Christmas Day lunch..
