Wintertons cleared my mums large house in Solihull.. They arrived on time , were efficient, friendly and tidy. They packed everything with care. I would highly recommend anyone needing to clear a house after a death to use wintertons. The office communication is clear, they are transparent over pricing.It made the whole daunting task very easy.

The process from Richard meeting me at the property to assess for probate, through to the clearance itself, has been very efficient and sympathetically carried out. Thanks to Marek, Michael and the clearance team for the work, which was done carefully, efficiently and respectfully, making a difficult process much easier. Marek and Michael were knowledgeable about the items and process; and answered any questions we had. Just the auction to go now.To reviewer A.R who fancies him or herself as a local guide, this isn't all just rubbish from house clearances being sold at auction, it's all that's left to show for many people's lives. Used this auctioneer for years and recently had to use their postage option, as an emergency hospital visit occurred. Was charged £18 for a small box of 4 spoons), which typically costs £4 postage. Richard’s team member Grace was very unprofessional and unsympathetic and not a credit to the organisation. Very sad that your team thinks 2 weeks to deliver a small package at £18 is acceptable.

Won a lot online, had to pay a really high courier price of £120 and then told by Richard Winterton Auctioneers that I will have to wait 10 days for the items to be dispatched, when contacting the auction house they are very unhelpful and quite rude. It seems that the auction house just wants your money and then put up barriers and give excuses not to dispatch your items out in a reasonable time. I would advise anyone who is thinking of bidding on an item or buying an item to think twice.Update with response from the very unprofessional feedback reply from Richard Winterton Auctioneers.My reply is: offering collection of the items at a set time that only benefits you isn't a fair option in my opinion. I felt as I had no choice but to opt into the £120 delivery. I have took it upon myself to contact other courier providers other than parcel force and I was quoted no where near £120, in fact I will tell you I was quoted £72 for the delivery. I therefore think that you are ripping customers off for profit into your own pocket. You gave an excuse of we sell in excess of 800 lots every week and this is a huge logistical exercise with items both coming in and going out". If other smaller businesses can manage to ship customers items in a timely manner (that's way under 10 days) I'm sure your company can do this. Also

First time I have used this auction house. I sell & purchase from around 30 plus auction rooms from around the country. Brilliant. Excellent service. Staff very courteous & helpful. Picked up items by arrangement - all went to plan. Of particular merit are the excellent descriptions & condition reports they give for each item. This really helps when using on-line bidding at auctions. I can appreciate the extra work this must entail - but I commend highly the practice. The descriptions were spot on. My thanks to all at the Auction House for making the purchasing of some wonderful items a real pleasure.

This is a stellar review on the crew that they sent out to pick up furniture from my house.The crew showed up in a timely manner, was polite each one introducing themselves, and respecting my home and items that they were picking up. They clearly explained the process and next steps and were all in all a pleasure to work with.I'm looking forward to the auction day.
