From the outset, from design through to works completion, MH were excellent to work with. Matt is one of the most hard-working, professional, pleasant contractors I have ever had the pleasure of working with and we are thrilled with our new garden.

In short: unreliable time wasters and I wouldn't recommend.I arranged an appointment on the Monday to the Friday late afternoon, i was advised that they were busy up until October and if we were to go with them then that's when we could expect works to commence etc. This was for supply and fit of our medium/large sized patio and potential other landscaping works. Come the Friday, nobody turned up, after 30mins I called the office for Matt, the owner, to answer saying he had forgotten the appointment but the last slot for the year had been taken two days prior with no spaces until Jan.This clearly wasn't true as he proceeded to say about the distance (Basingstoke). Having wasted our time, with a week's opportunity to cancel if they thought distance would be an issue, we received far from a genuine apology.

Thank you so much Matt, Hollie and team for completely transforming our front garden path ! You have moved it forwards 90 years and added a great deal of value to our property. The new look is even more compatible and innovative than what we envisaged, and it is great credit to your professionalism that you overcame terrain, weather and logistical problems to achieve this. And the timeline for completion was met ! We would recommend you to anyone.

We are absolutely delighted with the garden Hollie and Matthew designed and built for us. It is stunning. Every morning when I open the curtains and look out I think how lucky I am to have such an exciting garden. (We had only grass and a patio for the last ten years!)Matthew, Tom and Josh made the garden. They were a great team - a joy to work with and have in the garden. Efficient, hardworking, professional, knowledgeable and good company - they made the experience a joy for us. Nothing was too much trouble and any problems were handled quickly, effectively and with the minimum of fuss.Hollie kept popping in and out to check on progress and that the plan was being replicated accurately - she then came with the plants, placed them, asked for my approval and the lovely boys planted them.We now have a stylish, relaxing, calm and very beautiful garden.Still more to come in terms of us buying pots, garden furniture, statues and more plants.We have nothing but praise for MH Landscapes - great job and fabulous kind and generous people.

I can fully recommend the professional garden services from MH Landscapes. Matt and his team did an amazing job of my garden and transformed it exactly how I asked them to. They were very reliable and kept me updated as they progressed so that I could approve or change anything. I am so pleased with the end result and wouldn't hesitate using or recommending them again. Customer first until there’s a problem! Totally unprofessional. They ignored emails. They refused to return to discuss issues. The worst contractor we have ever dealt with.Advice if you are planning to engage MH to carry out any work for youGet a written contract and terms and conditions. We didn’t even when Matt referred to the contract when questioned about removing our previous paving slabs. Numerous requests for this were ignored.Insist on having access to receipts for materials, plants etc. that you have effectively paid forGet the guarantee verbally referred to constantly by Matt up front and in writing - what it covers against what and for how long. MH has have consistently refused to provide this, leaving us highly sceptical that we will have any future recourse should problems ariseDon’t believe their website - they do use subcontractors - for brickwork, which was messed up and had to be repeated. They spent 3 hours laying bricks in darkness under the light of 2 iPhones! Nobody from MH ever supervised any of this.Withhold part of your final payment (maybe 10%) for at least 3 months. MH supplied a small tree which once the spring growth appeared was dead on one side. Hollie argued at every stage offering only a cash refund (leaving us to source a replacement, remove the old tre and plant the new tree ourselves) despite being contracted to supply and plant a tree, which was certainly not fit for purpose when planted. We offered to take the matter up directly with the supplier, but MH refused to provide their details. We doubt it ever came from a nursery. An unbelievable argument over something with a value of a 0.25% of the project price. The first test (pretty small) of their customer ethos completely and utterly failedCarry out your own inspection on completion. Matt promised a full clean up - Hollie then told us the team had left it “spotless” despite never having been to our property! They had mixed concrete on a block paved drive without adequate protection. It took us 2 days to clean the garage, walls, fences etc. and Matt had to return to acid wash the block paving.Unless you are happy for your project, comments etc. to appear on MH’s website, Facebook page and other media without your permission, ensure that you retain those rightsFinally, some advice for Matt and Hollie. Stop promising on customer satisfaction and actually deliver. Your words were meaningless. Talk is cheap, action is the only criterion.We are pretty normal people and have not written this review lightly - if you would like to discuss any of these issues with us before committing to a project with MH please contact us.

Matt and Hollie are a fantastic team and I would totally recommend them to do a garden project. Once I met Matt I knew they would do a great job. He explains everything and if there are any problems he sorts them. They always turned up on time.

On behalf of Martyn & Sue - Woodley project (June 2023).We have a modest size garden, and it was looking a bit tired. We contacted MH, and Matt quickly came round to discuss our vague ideas, took it away to Hollie, who came up with a plan based on those ideas. We discussed one or two changes, and these were built in to the plan.We liked the overall concept and the plan, but could not quite see it all and how it was going to work. When the work started, we thought what have we done! Now that it is finished – wow! What a transformation.Matt and the team are tireless, always in good humour, accommodated our many questions and worked with us to get agreement when needed (rather than just doing what they knew would work).Every time we sit down and look around we see things which we hadn’t noticed before, the use of colours and different levels together; the degree of detail, including setting the large mirror at precisely the right angle to get the best reflection of the garden from the house. Our thanks to Hollie who supervised and did most of the final planting, again involving us with final decisions. Her vision of the end result was translated by the boys superbly.As a final word on the level of professionalism, this was further evidenced when Matt ate into his family holiday to get a minor issue sorted out.
