York Camera Mart

Recently purchased a new Canon R7 from York Camera Mart. I dealt with several staff during the process and they were all helpful. Talked me through various choices, handled a trade in with a fair price and made sure I received personal updates as the item was out of stock at the time of purchase. I am sure they have many satisfied customers and I am now definitely one of them. Will be a repeat customer whenever I need anything else. Thanks for making the purchase so easy.

Phones up for some advice on adapters and they were really helpful. I popped in as my daughter is doing a photography degree and my old film camera is not working. Managed to get a film camera so my daughter can take photos and develop them in the dark room. Both guys working in the shop were extremely helpful and friendly and we will be using them again when I am back up in York again.

I recently purchased a used Fuji XT-2 camera body, boxed with all accessories etc. What a lovely camera and in 'excellant' condition as was rated by the store.After a helpful phone inquiry to the store, the item was dispatched promptly and took less than 24hrs to arrive. Very carefully packaged up too, may I also add.So my thanks to York Camera Mart, I shall be keeping an eye on them for more goodies to feed my photography obsession.

Ordered a Lowepro holster bag from them last Saturday..They rang me straight away to inform me it was out of stock. Chased this up for me on Monday and it was in the post on Tuesday.Highly recommended Great customer service.Staff were really helpful. Will buy again from them in the future.Thank you.

York Camera Mart is in the Shambles of York, near the York Minster. There are many interesting shops in the Shambles, but this one really caught my eye. I was looking to upgrade my Canon 50D with more modern technology. The person behind the counter was very knowledgeable and quickly helped me narrow my focus. I’m pretty sure he suspected that I was just looking, yet he was most gracious, and helpful. Thank you for your help.

Had a lovely chat about the difficulties of lugging a medium format camera around with the man who was behind the counter. Also an excellent selection of 35mm and 120 film to replenish the stocks a little.

Went into this shop totally blind on knowledge of DSLR cameras. Youtube convinced me to buy a coupling ring for my nikon D5300 .The staff at YCM rather than selling me what i asked for,: took the time to tell me in easy to understand terms than what i actually wanted was infact no good. They gave me a short lesson on what lenses did what, and why.I couldn’t after is the lens i needed, but they understood this and not at any time gave any pressure.What a fantastic service. such a rare thing to have such knowledge and experience given for free instead of selling the wrong item just to make a sale.5 star service. Will be going back with some savings ..
