Did not stay here but went for dinner. Beautiful place with tremendous service. Great bar area to have a cocktail while waiting for your table. The staff are all extremely friendly. Had sea bream and venison burger. Both were amazing. The whisky wall should not be missed.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. First ever visit, went for lunch with my niece. Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming. The food and service was second to none, I will definitely return.

We returned to the Dowans after staying there on a previous trip several years ago. Much to our delight, everything was still just as charming and we even got to stay in our same room, the Speyburn. Our entire stay was wonderful, with a well-appointed room (including heated floors in the bathroom), wonderful staff, nice meals, and the most extensive whisky collection that we have ever seen. I appreciated the special touches including a coffee press in the room, Scottish shortbread treats that were replenished in our room each day, and a wonderful full Scottish breakfast each morning. The town of Aberlour is quaint and enjoyable and we took several nice walks along the river just a few minutes down the hill from the hotel. If we ever get back to that part of Scotland, we will surely book in the Dowans again.

Great hotel room in a very good location. Stayed there for two nights and the service was excellent throughout. Food was also very good with a nice variety.Not the cheapest hotel in the area but worth it when you compare the service and quality of the room.

A beautiful hotel in a stunning part of Scotland. We had a fantastic night there in one of the Executive rooms, superb cocktails and a wonderful meal. The owners and staff ensure every detail is perfect.

What an indulgence for our 25th wedding anniversary! Just perfect: great location 2 mins out of Aberlour, impeccable service (including helping set up anniversary surprises for my partner!), lovely food, gorgeous grounds….. I could go on, but well worth the splurge.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was amazing.The staff was very polite and did a really good job!The location and the building (inside and outside) ist unbelievable beautiful.The food and the drinks were very tasting every day. Breakfast is a la card and what you get is on a high level.The only small contra is the size of the rooms. But I think it's because of the size of the whole building. And we used this room only for sleeping. The most of the time we sit in the garden, the bar or the amazing whisky room.5 well deserved stars!

We loved the Dowans. My wife and I are visiting Scotland for our anniversary and have had a great time. The staff at the Dowans is amazing and made us feel at home. Food and whisky was great. Lauren took great care of us and I will definitely stay here again when we visit again.

Lovely food and ambience. We went for dinner with the family. We had a cocktail at the bar and then moved to the dining room. Food was very nice.
