Europcar Stansted Airport

This was such a good experience after a long day!We had a reservation with another company and when we got there, all of their cars were broken.We had to get a taxi another hour to this airport, and of the handful of options there, the staff of Europcar was the best by far.They were so kind and accommodating. They really worked hard to find a solution for our travel needs without any upsell or pressure.Highly recommend!

Very disappointed by pick up procedure at Stansted airport. Was served by the manager who outright lied to me about my insurance cover. Our flight had been delayed and then there was a 45 minute wait at Europcar to collect our vehicle. When finally served at the desk, the manager insisted my travel insurance would not cover me because 'my insurer could only contract with the owner of the car', which apparently is not Europcar. Having only just arrived in the country, now being 2 hours behind schedule for a long drive and without internet access, I could not fact-check him. I repeated that could more than cover the excess with my travel insurance but he just kept talking at me about having to reduce it to the normal UK level to be covered blah blah blah. I really wanted to get my car and get moving as we had already missed a family lunch nearby due to the wait at the desk, so finally agreed just to be able to leave. This resulted in our hire cost increasing by almost half again. I have since returned this car and hired another through Budget (wanted to extend our loan for 3 days and Europcar wanted to charge another £550!!!) and was told no problem with travel Insurance, that it will of course cover it.I think the manager of Stansted is running a racket. Stay well away. I feel I have been deceived by this guy and because of him will never use Europcar again.

Me and my partner booked a last minute car from Stansted Airport with Carlo at Europcar.The car was Immaculate, Carlo has been super helpful, very friendly and professional. We wanted to leave the car in Barnstable and he made sure we had the best deal as usually leaving the car in a different location can me more expensive. 5 star service, big thank you to Carlo, without his help we were going to spend the night at the airport as the trains were canceled until the next morning and no other car companies had anything available.Tried to do the survey through the email buy the link has expired.

The collection and return was smooth. Got an upgrade with an additional amount, however, 1 star less as premium station charges was not mentioned while giving the car and charged later, when it was not there in the initial booking. The car was clean and experience was good.

Multiple customers waiting over 1,5 hours to pick up a car and reception is responding by saying cancel your dinner plans and make breakfast plans instead. The booking was made in advance with flight details. Total mismanagement and cheekiness on top of it. Never renting with these Europcar/Alamo/National at Stansted again

Excellent customer service from Roman and the branch manager. They helped me and my daughter with bags, parked the car outside the door and really explained everything patiently. Also no problems on a return. We were attended to straight away. Will def use again. Thank you

Extortionate. It’s more expensive to hire two car seats from them than buy brand new ones.We went through Ryanair and hired a car, it ended up being double the original price (from the addition of 2 car seats and an extra driver).It’s impossible to speak to someone on the phone at their office, my husband had to drive back the next of our holiday to discuss the amount. The manager on duty promised we’d get a partial refund 10 days after the car was returned, we’re still waiting for it. It was at car village Stansted airport. The only positive I can say is that the car was nice.

Picked up a lovely Volvo from Waleed at Europcar.Customer service from Waleed was 10/10. Lovely experience, will be recommending to others for sure!Keep up the good work.

Great experience, first time rental in my life but everything was very easy, no stress, great and clean car, cost efficient. Kids loved it! I do recommend and will rent again on my next trip. Josef
