Had my eyes tested. Great service. Was really friendly. Was really patient with me finding the right glasses. On collection of my glasses they were amended to fit my face. This is my second pair from this place and I highly recommend.

Excellent service. Was nervous about investing in varifocals especially if I didn’t gel with them but Grace was very patient with me, explained everything and gave useful advice which I appreciated. Grace gave me the confidence to go for it, although it’s early days at the moment I know they will continue to support me should I need it. Many thanks for your understanding Grace.

My family have been going to Selbies for years so we’ve always been very loyal. I had a contact lenses check up in March where my contact lenses prescription changed. I was paying a direct debit and they’d normally arrive every 3 months. It got to 6 months and my new prescription still hadn’t arrived. After weeks of continuously ringing and chasing, with different reception staff who had no clue what was going on and had nothing useful to tell me, I emailed many times being told they will arrive by in the next few days… they never arrived! We’re now in October and my contact lenses still haven’t arrived and I’ve taken my business elsewhere.

I had gone to this opticians to fulfill my son's perscription. He had lost a pair and then broken another. They had called to say that they do not have any frames for my son and stated that they weren't sure when they would get more in. I had requested his perscription back so I could go to another opticians to get his perscription fulfilled and I was refused. I called the hospital and they had confirmed that the opticians are not allowed to withhold my son's perscription at all.Safe to say after this experience I will not be going back again.

This is a post by Paula's Husband Andrew:I rarely post negative reviews about a business however I feel compelled in this instance. My experience at Selbie Opticians has been terrible. When I enquired about ordering replacement frames. I was told it would take around a week to provide feedback and then another week for these to arrive. I am now into week 7 and still no sign of the frames. I have had to continually chase for updates and was repeatedly told that the glasses would arrive shortly. Very often the Practice confirmed that I would be contacted with updates but for the most part this did not happen and I had to continually chase. The overall staff attitude was poor and 'blase'. I will not be using again and have now gone elsewhere.

Very helpful and professional. Never felt rushed and everyone I dealt with explained everything clearly and helpfully.

I've been going to Selbie's for years now. Knowledgeable staff and always very friendly service.

I visited a while ago, and the reception team was very helpful. The optician was professional, and the team helped keep my toddler occupied!
