The perfect venue for our special day, I can’t recommend it highly enough.The Royston room was a great spot for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in the morning, just next door to the ceremony room. A changing curtain or similar would have been really useful, but I didn’t think to ask at the time, and I’m sure they would have sorted something out for me if I had.The Long Gallery is just how it sounds - it’s huge! We had just under 60 guests and took up maybe a third of the room. I loved that as it felt nice, bright, and open; and there were no pillars in the way so every guest could see the front.There was something for everyone and plenty of space for guests to spread out, but it still felt cosy. Everyone said how stunning the place was and had an excellent time exploring the grounds and taking photos. The children loved having plenty of space to run around, and the team even arranged for football posts to be set up for us to keep them entertained. It was a lovely autumnal day but I visited throughout the year and the venue looks gorgeous in sun, rain and frost too.A special shout out to Symphonie and Claire who organised everything and handled every issue, big or small, on the lead up and the day itself. It meant so much as I could really relax knowing everything was in hand. I expected to be asked lots of questions throughout the day, but other than checking I was ok, Claire just got on with it - which was much appreciated!We finished the day in the fabulous Chestnut honeymoon suite - it’s huge! We had a couple of little surprises left for us from the team too, which was lovely. It was a great space to chill out during the day and hang out with the girls when our dancing feet were worn out. If I did it again, I would probably ask about having the room the night before as well - it would be a great spot to get ready in the morning, and although I don’t live far away, being there and ready to go would have been a nice extra.Already planning to be back for a birthday afternoon tea and I’m sure we’ll come back again and again to what is now a very special place to us.

Our 2 night stay was ‘ok’. The hotel is absolutely stunning. The gardens are beautiful and well kept. Every member of staff was exceptional. Friendly and very helpful.The room….a classic double….was so disappointing we almost left after our first night. We were on the 2nd floor of an annexe building, with no air conditioning and the room was smaller and less attractive than a room in a Premier Inn. The bed was uncomfortable and the decor was really basic.Not what we had hoped for from an ‘exclusive collection hotel’ on our booking website.

We came here to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary & weren't disappointed! Amazing grounds/gardens & surrounding countryside. Extensively extended & refurbished to very high modern standards while retaining a lot of the original period features of this fine venue/hotel. Plenty of free parking short walk from the main hotel. We stayed in part of an extension so rooms are ultra-modern complete with luxury multi-jet en-suite shower/bathroom. Lovely BIG TV in each room complete with your own personal Amazon Smart-speaker which you can use to control the LED lighting & powered window blinds! Wasn't too expensive as we weren't staying in main hotel building. Extensive on-site facilities which include fitness centre & Luxurious a la carte dining & cocktail bar. Lovely mini-lake complete with water feature. Corporate conference rooms & wedding rooms. Highly recommended.

We booked for afternoon tea with the family for a birthday celebration as it's a family fav and it didn't disappoint!We had great service throughout and also replenished the plates with a few of mine and the kids favored sandwiches. All in all a great experience and lovely grounds to stroll round and help burn off the extra servings.

What a wonderful period property. Set in the countryside just outside Ware. A peaceful setting for afternoon tea. Very comfortable. The cakes, sandwiches and scones were all beautifully presented and very fresh. I am looking forward to visiting again.

We were only here for the food, which was really nice. We were simultaneously there during a wedding going on, so we sort of shared the venue with guests who were at the bar, which was a bit of an odd vibe and not expected when we booked it. You could sit anywhere you wanted for lunch which was interesting, since the room's layout was more lounge than dining room. This was unexpected and not really something I enjoyed, but we found a table that worked for a proper sit down meal. The staff were polite, especially our waitperson, who was really helpful and friendly. Pricing is around what you'd expect in London. The venue itself is lovely, a bit of old architecture mixed with a contemporary and naturally-lit style. Outside was really beautiful, with a pond with lots of carp, and some lovely gardens. Overall, nice spot, and I'd go back.

A fabulous stay! Really lovely staff .... particularly the wonderful events manager ... she clearly loved her job, worked so hard - great fun ...always came and found us , make sure we were all good ...Gardens were amazing too ...A thoroughly lovely time !

We had an afternoon tea there, and it was lovely. Our little waitress for the day was delightful and certainly helped to make our tea special. We walked round the lovely grounds and found the Japanese pagoda which wS pretty. A lovely day out

I didn't see the rooms so I can't comment on them, but the rest of the place is lovely. Plenty of parking, the grounds are beautiful, and the building is spectacular! And the staff that served us were perfect. No complaints at all. Beautiful place.

Stayed the night for a friend's wedding. We had to change our booking last minute as we needed to bring our dog. The staff were happy to accommodate us with their dog friendly room. We also had car trouble the following morning and the staff were again very friendly and helpful allowing us to use the restaurant while we waited for the roadside assistance. It is a lovely hotel with beautiful gardens, which are well worth taking the time to walk round.
