Hadn't been in for quite sometime, needed sink plug and chain, washing line and prop. First thing I noticed it was very dim lighted, loads of content, busy staff, but nobody really knew where anything was when asked, and if you looked like you were going to ask something they quickened their step to try and evade you not so good, spent ages walking around trying to find everything, did eventually but probably try somewhere else next time.

Friendly greeting, till staff good ! Don't bother asking floor staff for help! If you ask if they sell curtain hooks holding a curtain pole you don't need to be told to look near the curtain stuff. Surely if they were with the curtain stuff I wouldn't be on a different aisle asking.

Today it was a total nightmare. I ordered 2.5 litres of multi surface primer paint, it wasn't ready to collect when it was supposed to, the member of staff went to get it, in the mean time I picked 2 other cans of paint up, I had to serve myself no one was on the checkout. I get home to find she has got me the wrong primer it for wood and plaster. Not happy at all

Arrived to collect order and a shopping list of five painting/decorating items. Took 5 min to locate my order and had none of the items. Follow up visit to buy wood chippings and MOT-1 aggregate - had neither - waste if time. I'd suggest either B&Q Swindon or Wickes in Cirencester.

It is our main go-to store for paints, tools, and any DIY stuff. For more specialised stuff like kitchen, bathroom and floor tiles it's still best to go to a specialised store like Topp Tiles, and timbers to purchased and/or cut specially, then CJ.Clark Timber is best for that.
