Martins Wood Farm

My husband and I visited Martins Wood Farm yesterday to collect 3 chickens. This is our first time keeping them and we were so grateful to Paula for answering our many questions and for helping us pick out some very friendly and healthy chickens.The farm is very sweet with a great big woodland space for their goats, chickens and even a space for a hen holiday home. All the animals looked very well looked after!Their farm shop was well stocked with very reasonably priced items for keeping chickens, eggs and local honey. I will definitely pop by again some time!

Great small holding busy farm with knowledgeable friendly staff.

I cannot recommend this farm more highly. Having been recommended to them by friends, I found them to be so so helpful at all stages- before ordering our hens , on collection and since - when I have needed expert advice. If you are thinking of getting hens- look no further . They are just brilliant !

Brilliant place to get your chickens , chicken food and accessories everyone who works there are so friendly and helpful also has a little shop where you can get eggs , gifts and chicken related products like books and what makes me laugh is the lip balm called Chicken Poop.

A lovely, family run place. Friendly, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced in the shop. We got five lovely hens which we were able to choose, who are settling in well. One even started laying early. Definitely go for Blacktail and Amber if you want super friendly, funny hens!

Really impressed with the staff, service and stock. We purchased a fabulous trio of birds and the staff were great at advising us on how to make our selection. The birds are all happy, healthy and laying brilliantly 1 year on! I would highly recommend Martin's Wood Farm to anyone looking for POL pullets, even if you are a novice chicken-keeper!

Very friendly and helpful, guided us newbies through everything we needed to know to get started with chickens and always keen to help us along the way. Highly recommended.
