Elan Fire & Security Systems

Unfortunately we have received very poor service from Elan Security since a problem first started with our gate entry panel in November 2015.I virtually never complain and in fact this is my first-ever negative review, however it is important that any future customers of Elan Security are aware of the service level they could receive.Following a number of attempts to repair the entry panel by Elan Security (which they charged me for), they eventually suggested that the panel needed replacing and their representative said it was outside their 12 month warranty and would cost £943.20 + labour. The electric gate entry system is Digital X1 VR and the manufacturer is BPT, so I contacted them with images of the severe rusting and bowing metalwork. The BPT Operations Manager replied with a 3 year warranty and asked Elan to submit a return.This information was passed to Elan Security on the 6th June 2016 and we were informed that the Managing Director would be dealing with this. I am concerned that the MD has not responded to any of my emails or phone calls, even though I have confirmed with the lovely office lady that he is aware of the urgent situation that our electric gates have not worked properly for 6 months.The overriding issue is that Elan Security is offering a 1 year warranty, when a product of this nature is deemed as fit for purpose by the manufacturer for a 3 year warranty. The Sale of Goods Act 1979 protects us as consumers and I sincerely hope that this can be resolved speedy.Kind regards,Mike Wood

I have been with the company for years for my alarm and I pay yearly for maintenance .2018 they instal my CCTV and connected to my phone .1 week ago I changed my wifi company which stopped my CCTV access to my phone and needed a password from Elan alarm system .I contacted them to give me the password . they decline and need to send engineer to do the password for £150 plus VAT for first half an hour then £50 plus VAT for any extra hour .I exchanged calls and e mails to express my disappointment . All my equipment were easly changed by the new wifi password , but only the CCTV that need a password from Elan which deliberately they put to get over possible £300 or more to change password ??? I have been with company for years and years . I am looking to change them now for the poor customer service

Highly recommend Elan Fire & Security!! We have had our alarm for a couple of years now and we’re still so pleased with the service they have provided over the years. The engineers are very friendly and highly professional! Also, being able to access our alarm on our phone is amazing too in case we’ve ever accidentally forgot to set it when we go out, we can do this on the app service they also provide! Having the alarm has massively helped with my anxiety of an evening too! Couldn’t recommend them more. Thank you so much guys!! :)

Really impressive service from quote to install. There was a lot of experience and industry awareness on offer that was a really good comfort (considering my lack of) and we was able to tailor it to exactly what we was aiming for. Would definitely recommend
