Leeds Housing Options (Leeds City Council)

I'm disabled and went through years of full on domestic abuse. I regularly told them what I was going through and they did nothing. I was awarded some apartment in a tower block, but had to wait near a whole year to get the door fixed, and still never got it, due to some sort of complications. That was their excuse on why it took so long and why i never got it. That was years ago. For the time being I've been living in a shed. I know 2 people with nothing wrong with them whatsoever and they got rehomed pretty much ASAP. One already had a really nice home, but wanted to downsize. The other person just didn't look after her previous property and needed somewhere else to live. They got seen to ASAP, but a disabled person who's living in a hut at end of garden has been complety forgotten about. Disgusting!!!

Google says open well it is 9.30am on a weekday, you phone and go through loads of options to then be told `the office is currently closed` how to contact someone any clues?? Go to the local councillor perhaps?

Will only help illegal immigrants and drug dealers get housing they thought they could force me into doing drugs by putting me in the Kingston hotel except it didn't work I left the place and actually have a better life now than any of the places Leeds housing options put me I've got more money now also cos I don't have crackheads scrounging off me

Awful place to be you come out wanting to head to the nearest bridge to jump, you are ignored and left to the streets , the amount of stress these guys have give me as made me self harm alot more. I have been sleeping the steps of the civic hall and still ignored. There is NO DUTY OF CARE what so ever. These people need to be educated on mental health and not just a 6 weeks course. They do not care and make your situation worse i.e making you jump through hoops then just drop you.

Absloute a joke of organasation and staff,they're pushing people to be homless and not providing a temprorary accomodation for a 50 year old woman who has lots of medical and suffering from depression and the staff's were rude to her which made her cry in leeds city council this pushed her into suicidal thoughts.

I was told at the beginning of April 2023 that I'd be waiting up to 4 weeks for a phone call assessment. I've been waiting for 11 weeks now and heard nothing. I've tried to call to chase it up but when I put my answers in it just tells me to hang up. I can't get through to an actual person.

Waste of time, there is no prevention at all!!! The system is wait for bailiff eviction or you are making yourself homeless....incurr all the court charges and bailiffs fees over £1000...rack up debt...become homeless then come back to see what we can do to help!!!
