On booking my car in for an Mot I was told on the day just to drop it in. I asked when I could collect the car and was told there were several cars due for an Mot that day and I would have to wait as its a first come first served basis. Being a remote garage how can the owner expect someone to wait endlessly on the roadside for what could be several hours. Ridiculous way to run a business. Called elsewhere and booked a 1 hour time slot. Also no card machine here, just another annoyance.

I really value when a garage is communicative and friendly, and lets you know what's going on with your car, when it's ready, etc. It sounds basic but so many garages don't do this, and it makes the whole process stressful and annoying. Ball Hill Garage were absolutely great in this regard, and they were quick and efficient with fixing the car. Recommended.

Excellent. Told me to check elsewhere for (expensive) tyre as he probably couldn't match prices of big dealers. BHG were cheapest, and have done all tyres since. I too got the suggestion to come back with more than tyres. Fair enough. That led to servicing and MOTs since. Excellent service and value. No cappuccino or valet (saving £££'s) but a polite telephone reminder e.g. when MOT due. Recommended.
