Be aware of the billing!! Firstly; the staff were 1st class, Bruna, Caio and Gabriel went out of their way to treat us well, so friendly with loads of smiles and we were very well looked after at reception and dinner. The spa facilities were good and the room was well supplied. Not so good =1.If I wasn't checking or rich enough not to bother I would have been charged THREE times for the room.I paid upfront when I booked, I was then requested to pay again when checking in, apology given blaming new computer system, and then again when checking out; I was given the invoice and was being charged again for the booking.Mistake rectified and apology given again, but it should not be happening, It's embarrassing for the staff and the customer and would have been a costly mistake if I never checked.2. Food in the restaurant is expensive.3. The bed. It was like sleeping on a hillside, a summit in the centre and sloping down to the edges.

My wife and i booked this hotel through secret escapes, and stayed for one night, the hotel is beautifully located next to Loch Fyne and is absolutely beautiful. We used the spa facilities including the outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam room and pool etc. All were very clean and of good quality. Looked like it was recently renovated. The shower in our room wasn't draining properly and there was a plumbing issue, the hotels maintenance man had gone so the receptionist changed our room for another immediately. Rooms are spacious and facilities are of a high standard. Dinner at the restaurant was incredible, make sure to try the salmon and crab cakes! All fresh and sourced locally. Niall the general manager was an absolute delight, so friendly and welcoming. He did compensate us for the inconvenience of changing rooms after dinner but it wouldn't stop us from coming back to stay again. Great service by the entire team at the hotel. Thanks again guys!

A great hotel overlooking Loch Fyne. Rooms were super, food delicious and the spa was fantastic but the very best thing was the welcome and kindness from the team who work there. I don't think we have been to a kinder or friendlier hotel, not just to us but to our dog too. They loved our little dog and even bought him his own plate of sausage for breakfast. Definitely the most dog- friendly hotel we have stayed in. We hope to return next year.

Always wanted to return to Loch Fyne after first visit 25 years ago, part of a chain now and has a bit of an identity crises; on the one hand trying to cater for high end dining on the other appealing to the more casual leisure break lovers, whilst been overly dog friendly at the same time.Staff in restaurant need further training, a waiter should never touch a guests langoustine to demonstrate the best way to eat them, (very embarrassing for the lady concerned and other dinners) also some of the other staff were a little abrupt. The price's for wine by the glass or bottle is stratospheric, on the plus side bar and reception staff were very pleasant, the room was Morden and clean and the spa was lovely. To sum up improve training, (maybe don't keep human customers waiting whilst you make a fuss of a over excited dog), take a look at the wine list pricing and you may find you actually sell some

A real mixed bag. Excellent pool and sauna facility (though not enough loungers). Reasonably-sized room that was well-equipped. Quality of dinner food was good but service was very quirky and inconsistent/poor. Bar was quite expensive. Good served hot breakfast but continental options were poor.

First time visit to the hotel. We stayed for 2 days on a spa break.Room and food was lovely and the spa was great especially the outside sauna, hot tub and cold shower. The views from either where pretty special. For me the friendliness of the staff was superb, from Niall, Claire and Bruana at the front desk and all the others. Thanks also to Claire for the upgrade to the Lagavulin room over looking the water. We look forward to coming back.

This was the last night of our mini moon and the hotel left us for lovely sweet treats in our room. We stayed for 1 night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were in the newer yet slightly dated part of the hotel. The room was beautiful but the bed was so uncomfortable! So soft, like a pillow with a lump down the middle I'm assuming due to 2 beds being pushed together. The hotel in general felt a bit dated and was perhaps not as luxurious as is made out or as the price suggests. Breakfast was nice but continental options limited (compared to other luxury hotels) cooked breakfast was quite basic. The outdoor hot tub was a nice touch in the spa but definitely needed a clean and a change of water. We got in and straight back out as it was quite smelly. Jacuzzi could do with some repairs to the tiles and be warmer. Pool is nice. Sauna was also not very hot.

Booked a table for dinner last Saturday. We were celebrating a family event and we were looking for a beatiful cosy place serving local seafood. We arrived a little early and the lady from reception, very kindly, invited us to come in and sat in the bar while waiting. Everything seemed to be great until we were told that our table was ready, about 5 or 7 minutes earlier than the time I booked. We thanked the waiter and we stayed in there as we were nearly finished with our drinks. However, just 2 or 4 minutes later, no more than that, it was not 6 o'clock, he came back again, saying, that the table was ready for us like he was in a hurry or we were staying there for too long. At that point we started to feel a little nervous and to avoid a scene we just moved and followed him. He was being pushy and rude and we were feeling quite uncomfortable and at that point we thought about leaving. Other members of staff came in and talked to us. My husband make them aware that we were not happy with the attention received from the first waiter. We decided to stay and we did not have any issues after that. The food was delicious, special mention the langoustines and the salmon and a good selection of wines. The staff were really nice but the incident I mentioned. I remember his name but rather not to put it here.
