Broadstone Hill

Really nice walk on the hills I started at the church in pub. It's a bit muddy but it's not too bad. My dog loved it and was filthy at the end so of your taking your dog up, tale a towel. I walked over to pots and pans while I was up there. Very steap decent back down.

Great, quiet spot and easily accessible from Running Hill Gate. Strong shoes or boots recommended. Find several part-cut millstones abandoned just south of the trig point, and note the ancient dragways for taking stones down the moor towards Running Hill.

Easy hike following the Oldham Way discs and then Broadstone Clough, turning left at the pathway towards several gritstone boulders and then the trig point of Broadstone Hill.As can be expected the views are good and if you're a plane spotter then this is a super spot for watching in and outbound Manchester airport traffic.
