Creagorry Motors

After getting a puncture whilst on holiday in South Uist, we managed to limp our SUV to Creagorry Motors where the friendly (and funny) staff went spent hours trying to source a replacement tyre for our SUV. When it became apparent that nobody in Scotland had the tyre available, they quickly rented us a car to let us continue our holiday and towed our SUV to the ferry so we could get to Harris as was our original plan. It was really nice to encounter a business that just got the job done well and quickly.

Fantastic.We were on holiday and had a problem with our engine. The garage checked it on the computer and all was well (nothing that needed doing immediately). The garage fitted us in to their busy day and didn’t charge us anything for the check.Thank you.

Had a problem with worn brake pads. Not wanting to drive over 200 miles through the Highlands and Islands. Got in touch and the garage owner came out looked to see what was needed, got the bits and sent guys out the next day to fit them all on the campsite we were staying on. Absolutely fantastic service.

When you're stuck in the middle of the outer hebrides and your stupid hire volvo with it's unique tyre has a slit in the sidewall this is the garage to limp yourselves to. Warm hearted folk with plenty of banter and small fluffy dogs that despite being unable to solve the problem, due to the uniqueness of the tyre, went above and beyond to ensure we were on our way to harris safely and quickly, all be it on the back of a lorry. They also provided us with a replacement car, with sensible standard tyres in case of future issues, for 24 hours so we continue exploring Benbecula and North Uist before moving on.Long and short, they made the best of a bad situation for us.

We visited the Uists and the wider Western Isles in August 2022 in our Campervan. On our first night we noticed we had a slow puncture. On Saturday morning after pumping it back up we called Creagorry Motors and they told us to pop down.Upon inspection, Innes informed us it was actually a cracked alloy and that he would get it sent for repair if possible. 24 hrs later and after use of a hire car we had our van back, good as new.This could've been a nightmare that restricted our adventures on the Isles, or worse.Innes and the whole team of ladies were brilliant and couldn't have helped us and our 15 year old Border Terrorist Jasper enough.Highly recommended and reflective of the brilliant Island community spirit. We will be back.

Took the car in to get an electric window fixed and a loose exhaust pipe secured. Booked the car in a couple of weeks ahead. Went back to get the car only to find out none of the work had been done. Was just given a long list of things they said needed doing and told me to rebook. Drove the car out and it broke down right outside the garage. They towed it back, said it was ok. Within one week it had broken down again and suffered catastrophic engine failure" according to another garage. Had had the car for 20 years with no previous mechanical issues or warning lights. Have since heard similar stories from others. Would not trust them with another car."

Called in with problems with towing lighting socket. They immediatly looked at it for an hour and found the relay at fault. Did a tempory fix which is all that could be done, so that i could carry on with towing caravan and holiday.Great service great price and friendly peopleHIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Our van broke down at the COOP up the road and these guys were able to diagnose the issue and help get us going again and then managed to fit us in the following working day to properly fix the problem. Can highly recommend.

Complete heroes who saved our holiday when the exhaust literally fell off my car on the Isle of Benbecula. They did as best a rudimentary fix (considering we literally turned up at the garage at opening time with a broken car and tale of woe) as they could that allowed us to continue on our way and not have to curtail our travels up the Outer Hebs and also get us home 500 miles away. They were kind and generous with their time/facilities. Thank you again!
