Veggie sausages in the bangers and mash were a little dry but the meal and my mum's veggie curry was delicious.

Generally speaking, the cafe offers good quality food: sandwiches, cakes, scones and cooked food at reasonable cost. Children's menu available too. Pleasant seating area. Can become very busy at weekends.

My cappuccino was served only just warm despite asking for it extra hot. I took it back and it was replaced but they said that was the setting recommended for heating milk so it doesn't burn - RUBBISH. Later I saw a man taking two cappuccinos back and heard him saying they weren't hot. When will they learn?I ordered two tuna mayonnaise jacket potatoes. The potato was almost cold. They were replaced but they said that was the temperature they served them with tuna - RUBBISH. I wasn't expecting the tuna to be hot, just the potato. They are on the hot food menu and the potato should be hot. Nymans cafe - please learn a lesson and serve coffee and hot food hot!

Very very busy and take you own takeaway cup if you don't want to be charged for a drinks cup. Plenty of water available.

Absolutely terrible. Unbelievable con. Paid £3 for an egg sandwich and it didn't even have half of a egg in it ! Took picture ! Attached Then my friend paid £4.25 for tuna roll and had barely a desert spoon of tuna and little else. Also see picture attached. National Trust (we are life members) should be totally ashamed they they are ripping off people. Truly Unbelievable We did get our money back and women at till was clearly embarrassed when showed her. Let's see if National Trust read this review and respond. Because if they don't and don't improve their offering you should let everyone know how terrible this place is. We expect much more of the NT.

Thought the pastries were a little expensive, but then i had one and it was worth every penny. The food is delicious and staff are friendly. Lovely place to stop after a walk through Nymans.

Nice! Normally bit disappointed by NT cafes regarding their vegan options, but lovely guy on the till recommended the cauliflower and chickpea pasty - delicious! Really good vegan scone and hot choc too. Very pleased!

We regularly visit the garden etc, stopping for refreshments. This morning the hot chocolate was luke warm and there was no cutlery with which to eat our cake. It was extremely sticky fingers all round. Everyone was too busy serving to ask for support. A disappointing visit. We’ll supply our own next time!
