Riverggins Gundogs

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming one of Riverggins lovely pups into our lives and from the very beginning Katie and James were amazing. They sent us regular photos and updates on how the pups were getting on, as well as support and continued guidance once she was home. We could not have asked for a more friendly and reassuring process and we would recommend them to anyone!

We were really struggling with our 5 month old Labrador Retriever. After a couple of hour lessons it was clearly obvious that Riverggins (James and Katie) had all the experience, care and knowledge to help with our issues. Not just that, we really sensed that they wanted to help. It was decided that we would send our puppy for a 4 week training holiday. We received daily updates with photos and videos showing her progression and fun she was having with her new doggy friends. The result has been nothing short of amazing, we now have a well trained, obedient, walking to heel (the list goes on) loving puppy. All of her negative behaviour has been eradicated and our life has been transformed. We cannot thank James and Katie enough, they are such warm, friendly, caring people. The Riverggins family are now very much part of our family too and we cannot recommend them highly enough.Thank you so much James and Katie.

We could not recommend Riverggins more highly. We had been recommended them by a friend and from meeting James and Katie we knew from the off that our fourth child Murphy (our 11 month old Vizslador) was in very good hands. We had aspects we wanted help with in terms of our puppies lead work, socialising and obedience. Murphy came back to us with his beautiful temperament but far more engaged and responsive. James had done an incredible job, he communicated with us throughout Murphy’s stay, sent pictures/videos and has given us a thorough handover so we know what to continue working on. Lovely couple! Great with the dogs! They are very attentive and intuitive with the dogs and give them just the care and training that they need. The dogs are always very happy there and exercised regularly and really enjoy every minute of their stay!

Katie & James offer a superb environment for animals. Our Hens were looked after with great care and attention. They settled in straight away and had a wonderful time. Was especially grateful that they could have free range time just like they would at home. Highly recommend this establishment for your pets.We look forward to being able to board our Dogs in the future as it's clear to see that they too will have a whale of a time!

We put our Black lab in for 6 weeks whilst we travelled, we had been training Solomon intensively and wanted someone to continue that rather than change or stop. James and his Team listened and executed our wishes perfectly. We got back a dog with all of our training packaged into one, in fact much further along. Heartedly recommended for any discerning owner, the beauty of what they do, they do as little or as much as you ask them too. excellent company.

Riverggins provided a great service from initial discussions to picking my dog up after five weeks of residential training. It’s a big decision sending your dog away but James and Katie put my mind at ease with their understanding and love for their own dogs. We had regular updates on progress throughout the five weeks and I was able to attend a couple of demo/train me sessions which were really beneficial to understand what the dog can do and what I need to do to carry on the progress. My dog absolutely loved her time at riverggins and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for dog training or any services they provide.

James and Katie at Riverggins are fantastic. We keep coming back to them from London to board our Vizsla Titus whenever we are away. James's residential training with Titus was excellent, three weeks, and we had a different dog back. He trained Titus to heel and to retrieve. James and Katie are excellent at providing regular updates on our pup and how he is progressing. Last but not least, we receive some amazing photos of Titus from James while training. My partner and I have used riverggins on several occasions for our much loved cocker spaniel pip, and have never experienced anything other than the best service possible. I will admit, we are both a little over protective of our dog and have found it hard in the past to leave him with anyone whilst we are away. James and Katie were recommended by a friend and from the first time we met, we knew pip was in safe hands. We can now leave pip without having to worry. We are also big fans of their social media accounts. Would highly recommend. Thank you James and Katie ( and Higgins of course).

We sent our dog for a three week residential training with Riverginns. We were very happy with the amount of progress they made with him during this time, his response to the whistle training was great and they set us off on a great path for the heel work and retrieving. We saw a huge improvement to how he was before he went.They took great care of him and you could see the happiness/joy in his face from each update we received from them. We thoroughly appreciated the regular video/photo updates and hope to send him back for their boarding training in the future.We would highly recommend James & Katie at Riverginns as you see they not only take great pride in the work they do but also have great care for the dogs, thank you again!
