The Beetle and Wedge
I went on a Wednesday evening with a friend. As it was October, it was dark when we arrived but it felt beautiful and cosy both outside and in.Lovely interior, lots of quirky little details.We decided on lots of starters between us as they all looked amazing. The tuna was gorgeous although we asked for more of the wasabi dressing as I couldn't taste it - the lady serving us explained that some people find it too much so they had reduced it. And the blue cheese sauce which came with the chicken I could have taken a bucket home.Overall the food was delicious!I was a little disappointed with the fact that despite it being quiet, we had to wait to ask or another drink, and also waited ages to pay the bill, to thr point where we ended up going to the front to pay but had to try and find someone then.Other than that, a lovely experience and I'll definitely be back in warmer weather to experience sitting by the river outside.

What a gorgeous spot on the Thames! It's fabulous. People on boats mooring up and popping in for drinks, and people paddleboarding past. A great place to watch the world go by. Staff are lovely and friendly. One of us had fish and chips, and the other a sandwich. Both were nice. The dining room is stunning.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Great good, brilliant service and top class location with views over the river. The Scotch egg was exceptional, the blue cheese sauce on the chicken wings outstanding, as was the beef and ale pie. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous Sunday lunch outdoors sitting by the water’s edge. Great service, friendly staff and a hugely appealing menu and wine list. The spicy chicken wings are the best in the world. I’ve eaten wings in umpteen countries and these were another level. We ordered extra starter bowls of them for the table; all agreed.Very cool sinks in the loos too!

Reasonable pub grub. The service was OK, but a little chaotic as we were a party of 10. They even got the bill wrong and undercharged us, which we paid later after they contacted us. I would go back again, mainly because it's a nice location.

Lovely location by the river Thames. Plenty of tables outside next to the river, but the indoor dining room is lovely.Food was nice, but they had sold out of some of the sorbet options and we were only informed after ordering.We were a large group and had pre ordered our food. Food was delivered to our table very efficiently. We all agreed that the food was lovely.Really worth a visit.

Fantastic lunch time visit. Called only 15 minutes before we visited and booked a table for 4. They happily let us use one of their enclosed wooden 'pods' outside by the river. Service was some of the best I've had in years: attentive without being overbearing, very quick serving orders, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. Homemade pie with amazing, light pastry. Very well cooked fish. Kids meals were great quality. And desserts were well worth it - really well balanced tiramisu with delicious accompaniments.A little hidden gem along a beautiful riverbank. We'll definitely be visiting again - highly recommended.

Lunch here is an amazing experience. A riverside setting on a sunny day is magical, but indoor eating looks luxurious and equally enjoyable. Staff are skilled and very welcoming. A true delight.

The perfect place for a riverside Summer meal. A sharp shower discouraged use of a mooring-side table. We were seated by a tall open window which brought the river to us (literally after dark when the bugs flitted in to schmooze the lights). A quality menu, tasty but pricey. Pleasant service. A treat for my mum, my daughter and myself. Thank you.

Drink selection was great. Nice to see a Sancerre on the menu and the barman did a great job making an Espresso Martini. Lovely location next to the river.We had a meal in one of the pods and the service was good, as was the food. It’s possible to take dogs into the outdoor pods so it was very convenient for us.
