Mousehold View Care Home

My Mum (88, Alzheimers with vascular dementia) moved in to her beautiful room at Mousehold View on Friday 13th (!). A week on, I can honestly say I haven't seen her so happy in years. The staff are are all so kind and professional, and she loves them all. In her first week, in addition to time spent outdoors in the already beautiful garden, she has been to an art class, had her hair and nails done, played the piano and spent quiet time reading or playing Patience in the lounge. Her previous home-visit carers had raised concerns about her not eating, but at MV she is loving the food and eating them out of house and home! She has also befriended the sensory cat, Garfield, which is giving her enormous pleasure and comfort.Tonight the small group of residents of The MacLaren Suite (Memory Care Floor) spent the evening watching Strictly in the Cinema Room, popcorn and wine included!From my very first contact with Avery a year ago, through the sales process, care planning, introductory visits and strategies to get Mum settled in, I cannot fault Dan, Nigel and the rest of the Mousehold View team. They have been proactive, easily contacted with timely responses to my questions and understanding of the challenges mum and I have been facing. Not least, they have been just as caring, patient and supportive towards me, which has been very important as I live 300 miles away from my mum, and to be honest I've been going round the bend worrying about her, so I probably wasn't easy to deal with!I am delighted with every aspect of the care and service we have received and consider that mum and I have both been blessed to find Mousehold View. Highly recommended.

Mousehold View is fabulous. The wonderful staff are caring and supportive to the residents and their families. We had the pleasure of performing for them at Christmas. We hope to return to this beautiful facility.

I work for Age UK Norfolk, Dan was kind enough to give me a tour round the newly opened Mousehold View, we discussed how our services could benefit their residents. I was very impressed with the home, superb facilities, great spaces, friendly staff who care about making Mousehold View a lovely place to live.

You are in for a real treat if you visit or even become a resident at Mousehold View. The home is stunning, with communal areas and facilities to keep everyone happy. Nigel and Dan are wonderful, experienced, knowledgable and reassuring - you will always be met with a smile.

Mousehold View really is a fabulous place!I visited here last week delivering an Art Workshop to the residents and was indeed impressed.The spaces around the home are carefully thought out and a warm welcome was received by the efficient and friendly staff. Everyone here is enthusiastic about making this the very best experience for residents and family alike.I highly recommend!

The team at Mousehold View has absolutely delivered the ‘unicorn’ of aged and dementia care to my parents.They appears to have cherry picked their staff, who in turn, bring their own gift to the residents; be it a specific care requirements in dementia care, to the morning cup of tea delivered with the sunshine of a big smile.Assured, my dad relaxed immediately knowing mum had access to a fabulous team of specialised carers, nurses and support staff.Each day, dad called me in Australia raving about the delicious menu, the abundance of activities, and the laughs they’d shared with other residents and staff.This is a new care home, and while it has all the trappings of shiny and new, with lavish decor and furnishings, the true excellence in this home comes from deeper place. As an aged carer myself, I know this is only possible by having dedicated staff lead on with an inclusive and strong management system. Everyone who works here wants to bring joy and security in everything they do.My dad was absolutely shattered mentally and physically on arrival and he leaves reinvigorated. They have found fantastic respite, or when the time comes, a forever home away from home. I cannot thank everyone enough for taking such good care of my lovely mum and dad.

I am a mobile hairdresser covering Mousehold view, it is a newly opened care home which is absolutely stunning, the staff are wonderful and kind. It is a pleasure visiting the residents and pampering them, I enjoy visiting and would thoroughly recommend it to family members of potential residents.The salon is a lovely place to come and get your hair done. :)

What a beautiful home I had the pleasure of visiting and was introduced to Dan he is such a caring person and I certainly would not have any concerns about recommending the home to anybody. I would even like to stay myself for a long weekend. It is that wonderful.

What a beautiful care home, I was delighted to have been given a tour and able to meet the team with Dan recently. I was blown away by the facilities available and the quality of the rooms. I have no doubt in residents will have a 5* experience here and love it! Certainly somewhere I will be recommending.
