Food was decent value for money but quantity wasn’t there. Service was appalling. 2 of the ladies behind the bar was having a public argument. Swearing ect infront of all the kids. Ordered a latte. Didn’t arrive at the table for 45 minutes, reminded the lady twice and once it arrived it was plonked on the table with no apology or excuse on top of that the coffee was spilled all over the packets of sugar. Avoid this place at all costs. Not enjoyable at all.

We booked a table for ten people for our, staff Christmas meal at 8pm.We received a call at 4pm, on the same day, to inform us that the our table, had been cancelled, due to unforseen circumstances.They were still open for business and serving food, so rather puzzled to what the unforseen circumstances could have been.Our table had been booked two months prior, for our staffs company Christmas meal.To receive four hours notice of cancellation, with no genuine explanation is disgraceful.Fortunately, we managed to get a table at another local restaurant at short notice. Brewers fayre saved the day!We will never, visit or consider booking Mount pleasant again!

Wonderful food. We all shared the cheese starter, with garlic and pitta bread. My Mum, Brother and I had the Korean BBQ chicken burger, and my Dad had the mixed grill. Both came with chips, and the burgers came with onion rings too, Everyone was happy. Only downside was they didn’t have coleslaw but the staff made up for that with extra onion rings. My Mum and I shared a pudding at the end too, and it was beautiful, had to take it home! Prices were brilliant, staff were really friendly.

Very enjoyable evening with the family at this welcoming pub. Good food at reasonable prices but the outstanding memory of the whole experience here was the fantastic service from Danni. A super friendly lady who despite the incredible heat of the evening tonight was the consummate professional who always had a smile on her face. Top marks to this smashing gal.

Very Poor bar service, ordered a mulled wine which was placed on the bar cold, when I requested them to warm it up, they replied I don't know how it's done

Our waiter was extremely and repeatedly rude. For example, our pudding didn't arrive for over 40 minutes after ordering. Asked the waitress for an update on it. Response: 'ugh just give me a minute' and then walked off. While the food was OK and reasonably priced, I would suggest avoiding this pub.

So disappointing especially on mother's day. So bad that it made mother. Stepsister and my stepsisters two children actually cry. I understand that mother's Day is a high pressure day. And often certain things can slack. However the specific reason for going was for the salmon dish. Which was unavailable. Bless my mothers heart having just finished a 12 hour night shift at the hospital. Expecting a nice meal. The nachos were stale. The Sunday roast was dryer than the Sahara. The gravy looked like it had already been through a digestive system. Twice The two kids meals were cold and the onion bhajis looked and tasted like they were made by pirelli. So upsetting and so disappointing. Definitely will not return. Credits to the floor staff for doing their best.

Their hangover Mac and cheese is to die for! We have become rather obsessed by it. A perfect blend of mac, bacon, hash brown, hot sauce and tomato to cut through the richness. This place is warm and cosy with a good amount of Christmas cheer. It is also incredibly good value and the staff are polite and efficient.

Went for breakfast and had the steak and eggs! Wow it was so good! You get hash browns and a fantastic spicy sauce with it! My daughter had a breakfast wrap but it was cold, the staff were great and changed it straight away! It’s definitely my favourite weekend treat!
