What a remarkable course.I attended the box making course and achieved a much finer level of precision than I had previously considered possible through Dan's kind, patient and highly capable teaching. I have a few basic woodworking skills but have never made anything so fine in my life (indeed, I believe the box is the most finely crafted piece of woodwork in the house!).I learned so much on this course, if you are looking for a course to improve your skills then please do not hesitate to book in.

Attended the jewellery box making course. Was initially concerned I wouldn't have the skills needed but need not have worried as Dan is an excellent teacher. Patient, friendly and giving clear instructions and tips. Really proud of what I produced and gone on to make more with his continuing support.

I was given a 1 day course as a birthday present from my wife. I have no real past experience in this kind of woodwork. It was a really rewarding day where I achieved much more than I thought i would be capable of. Dan has a great relaxed teaching style. His vast experience is evident in the way he can explain the different techniques and give guidance where needed. I would highly recommend to all ranges of experience.

I’ve now taken two courses with Dan the first to make a small stool the second to make an exquisite jewellery box with veneers. Dan is a wonderful patient teacher with top class tools at hand. He has been working as a master cabinetmaker and his attention to detail and skill is amazing. I learned a great deal and can recommend him without hesitation

This was the first wood working course I have attended. The course was exactly what I wanted. Dan's teaching style was great, he was able to push what I expected of myself while being a relaxing and enjoyable two days. The level of improvement I was able to achieve in such a short amount of time was fantastic. I will definitely be back again.
