Recently booked a spa day here. Spa itself was amazing, girl on spa reception couldn't do enough to help. Had a very relaxing massage from a incredibly friendly young girl. Food was lovely. Only downside and reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because when trying to book the spa, I got through to the hotel's main reception and when I advised that I was unable to reach the spa reception to book the day, Katie rudely put the phone down on me twice as soon as I mentioned I couldn't get through to the spa. Very unprofessional to hang up on customers trying to book!

Reasonable for the price, reception staff could do with being a little more welcoming / cheery. Place is tired in need of an up lift, understand that's difficult at present. Spa was good value, shame it was overtaken by noisy individuals that appeared to be being housed at the hotel considering how high they piled their breakfast plates, pity they didn't give consideration to other guests, who had actually paid for their stay.

We got to our room and there was all toe nail clippings on the floor. I reported this and it was quickly rectified.Down in the pool area the jacuzzi had countless tiles missing in it and could do with being replaced and the jets just sad. The pool is very small so you can't really swim in it. The steam and sauna are good.In the restaurant my husband had fish and chips...the fish was cooked to death and half of it was missing.I had the chicken salad which was nice but the tomatoes looked like they had been frozen and then defrosted. The bed was firm but comfortable. There was some drilling going on till the early hours of the morning. Not sure from where but they had said the kitchen was closing early due to maintenanceThe breakfast was just OK.The whole place is tired and dated. Needs a good bit of work doing to it to bring it up to a reasonable standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful but they too seemed tired.

It's not a hotel. Car park is a war zone of abandoned bicycles. EV chargers work but you need to move the bicycles out of the way to get to them. Building is dilapidated and being used auto hold Asylum seekers. Security are on site and will ask why you are charging there.

Even though the room was dated it was really clean and had all amenities that I would need. It was also a very spacious room for me and my two kids which was a bonus. The restaurant and the bar were really amazing and the food was fantastic.Customer service was simply 10/10 could not as for more. Really warm atmosphere and a value for money

Well, our faces dropped when we arrived here. The hotel, from the outside is really unattractive and ugly.BUT, it's not so bad on the inside thank goodness! The bar is nice and comfortable, as is the restaurant. We had breakfast every morning which was nice and offered a nice variety including some lovely fresh fruit which made me happy! The staff were lovely and very accommodating. We used the spa regularly and had the Rasul treatment which was amazing, I fully recommend it!We were originally put in room 311 but we asked to be moved as it was grotty. There were loose tiles on the bathroom floor and the last visitor's dirty towels still in the bath and the bed was unmade!! We got moved to room 305 which was much better other than the very noisy floorboards!I found most areas to be clean and tidy but unfortunately, I did notice a horrible dirty smell every time I came up the stairs.

Awful lying manageress.Stayed at this hotel for a wedding. Our rooms had been booked for nearly two years, as the first wedding date was postponed due to Covid. On arrival we were told that we did not have a booking on the system, (we knew we did). Several other wedding party guests arrived and were told the same. Eventually the manageress came to the reception and gave us a story that our booking was for the previous night so we did not have a room, and none were available. This was a total lie. They had either double booked the rooms or had made a mistake on the date, but it was not our mistake. There was no apology or any admission of fault on their part, and she couldn’t care less. Bearing in mind that the rooms were part of the wedding event which they were hosting on the evening, how could they say the rooms were booked for the previous night?Sometime later another guest turned up who was not with the wedding party and he was told the same fairy story that he had also booked the previous night and didn’t have a room. The father of the bride went to great lengths to sort out accommodation for several couples by moving single people from double rooms and asking them to share to free up rooms. This was the last thing he needed when he should have been enjoying his daughter’s wedding day.We didn’t let it spoil our evening though, and the celebration was lovely. The bar and catering staff were great, and the young man on the bar, who was often on his own worked hard all-night serving guests, great stuff. It’s just a pity the manageress is so poor and dishonest.

A place to rest and I would say just that. Showers in desperate need of replacing, beds are very shallow and the rooms are exceedingly warm. Door inside of the room links on to the room next door which just adds to the thin walls and being able to hear everything from next door. Doors close extremely loudly. Gym was not bad and very clean. £2 charge for residential use though for gym and spa.... surely this use of facilities should be included in the stay!! Cheap hotel to lay your head. In need of renovation in the rooms. Rusting and wallpaper /paint flaking.. stains on carpets. Good location ... loads of potential but for us (stayed May 2021) it would not be considered a 4 star Best" hotel. We cannot comment on food or room service as did not use/order."

Not a great experience but the location is good..! In the rooms all the pipework was rattling and was very dated, oh and the toilet didn't exactly flush which sucked! On the other hand, the staff were really nice and the food in the morning was pretty good..! Wouldn't stay there again however.

Had a disastrous stay here after a long drive. Dirty room and uncomfortable beds but the 4am cockerel roaming the grounds waking everyone up was the crowning glory! Hear it's now holding economic migrants. Probably the only business it's going to get. Avoid.
