We have dined at Damson a couple of times now and cannot fault the food, service or pricing! You get what you pay for, which is; excellent service, fantastic views, comfortable seating / surroundings and phenomenal food!I will definitely be returning here and can't wait to try more of the menu!

Exactly the kind of restaurant Media City needs! The food is always superb, although on the higher end of the price range for this area. You can't go wrong with the 3 course lunch 12pm - 2:45pm and a pre theatre menu between 5pm and 6pm excl Sunday.Expect great food any time of day.

The best food on the Quays by a long way. If you're happy to pay a little bit more for your food, this is definitely the place to go. Great service, the steak is just incredible and the menu is well thought out and varied. I cannot wait to go again, already got a table booked for pre-theatre amazingness.

We have eaten there many times and the food is usually very good. We can describe it as our favourite. The problem is there is no consistency in the quality and you can be let down just when you want to treat an important guest. On a Sunday close to Christmas, the roast lamb was incredibly tough; we ended up packing it for the dog- not what you expect in a gourmet restaurant. Really annoying that the manager did not take it off the bill. We had a similar experience with unexpected low quality at the Heaton Moore branch last year when we brought a of group to celebrate my husband's birthday and never went back.

I had mixed reactions about Damson from friends who had been here before and unfortunately, my dining experience here was also a bit of a mix. I like the decor and ambiance of the restaurant and staff were friendly and helpful. However, I was a bit disappointed by the small portions and high price of some of the dishes. Also, for what I paid, it didn't blow my socks off. Bottom line, I would come back but I wouldn't be in any hurry.

Been a few times and impressed with the food and the wine selection. It's small portions, but very well done so you don't mind. Plus you get to save room for pudding.Refined Lancashire cuisine. The Sunday set menu is extremely good value, so if you want to try it out first, then I'd suggest trying that. You'll be back.Pricey, but great value for money.

Went a couple of weeks ago with some colleagues. Was convinced I'd written a review already as I enjoyed the experience so much. In any case, we had made an advanced booking and waited just a short time - in a very comfortable seating area - while our table for nine people was prepared.I'm not a big eater, so wanted to keep things light so I could sample all three courses at the local eatery I'd heard so many rave reviews about. For my starter I had a duck egg, pancetta and parmesan dish which was delicate with a delightfully runny yolk. For my main I chose the mushroom arancini which was flavoured with some delicious oriental tastes. I’m not veggie, but I chose this option as I was concerned that the meat mains would be too heavy for me - I needn’t have worried as when they were served to my dining companions they looked well-proportioned and not gut-busting as I had feared. My dessert course was chocolate mousse with a crunchy raspberry layer and, served along with a basil ice-cream, was deeply satisfying. Many of our group ordered the cheese board which not only looked fantastic but was served with expert knowledge and a real love of the cheeses on offer. This is not a ‘cheap’ restaurant, but it *is* good value for money. If you’re looking to treat yourself or impress others Damson is the to go-to choice in MediaCityUK.

Great upmarket food with a large selection of wines to suit many people's palettes. Hidden gem and popular with the theatre crowd, fantastic place for a date night or celebrate a special occasion.

I went to Damsun with a friend just after it had opened. I hadn't heard of it before so wasn't sure what to expect. It was nice. The service was good and I recall the food being nice. I'm not sure the location is great for it. Easy for me as I went straight after work (MediaCityUK) but I guess they'll get the Lowry theatre crowd and ITV going in now.

The location is superb - by the quayside in Media City, with the view that entails, but away from the hellish bustle of the outlet mall on a weekend. Decor was clean and plush with nice touches like damson-purple menus. I liked that the dessert menu was included in the main one but also came separately at the end - it can't just be me that needs to decide on pudding before choosing a main! Food was impeccable - tender duck with tart apple and pickled blackberries, followed by rich chocolate and orange mousse with smooth milk ice cream and brittle shards of salted caramel.
