Damp Pro - Independent Damp & Timber Surveys

Absolutely delighted with the serviced we received from Damp Pro.We got a full damp and timber survey done for two reasons. Firstly we were remortgaging and the new Bank required us to get a independent survey done as the home survey we had noticed we started taking plaster off the wall due to damp. So the bank required a survey and some estimates to approve our remortgage after our term ended with our previous bank.Secondly we received a 'free' survey before. It was ridiculous amounts of estimates with an unnecessary about of work that just didnt need doing at all.We did alot of research in our home when we bought it as a 1900s home we knew what some techniques that the modern day damp man was just making a quick quid and needed some impartial advice.Could not praise Daniel enough. We paid for the full survey continuing up stairs. He caught things that we hadn't noticed and also confirmed some things we were doing well with.We have took on all of his advice with work starting in the next few weeks between me my partner and one or two tradespeople for a fraction of the price of the unnecessary work others have said were needed.If your buying, restoring or just want to check if you really have a damp problem or want to take preventative measures I really can't recommend Damp Pro enough. Paying for a survey with no push selling methods or affiliations with manufacturers actully means to get real advice.Also polite staff (Emma I think?) To get it booked in and Daniel had the report to us in days so my remortgage was approved. He also offered further advice should we need it!Thanks very much!

Daniel clearly knows his stuff and understands the causes of damp.However damp mitigation is clearly a cost/ benefit exercise and in my experience Daniel recommended the best" solution with no regard for the cost

I was so impressed with Daniel who was assigned by Damp Pro to do our damp survey.Emma, from the office was polite and friendly and booked the survey for us.We had bought our Victorian house last year and we wanted independent advice on damp issues highlighted by the general survey.Daniel was so thorough and verbally explained what we needed to do in ‘layman’ terms, followed a few days later with a detailed report that is our point of reference when getting quotes.Seriously, pay for this independent report so you know exactly what needs doing.Daniel said, even if we don’t get the work done immediately, we can call him anytime for further advice.Very impressed with this company

I recently had a RICS Level 3 survey done which came back showing some issues on a house I was in the process of buying. I decided I wanted to get a survey done to get some more information on potential issues. I spoke to Emma who passed me through to Dan, the surveyor. After giving him a copy of the report he told me that I didn't need a survey and told me to contact a contractor to get an estimate on the work that I would need to have done. He advised that the survey I had was enough and getting one from them wouldnt give me any more information. What an honest, top company!

I would highly recommend this service if you need a damp and timber survey. Everyone I spoke to in the office was friendly and had clear communication. Daniel completed the survey and went through the house very thoroughly and gave me a lot of useful information. Even if the survey hadn't found a serious problem (which sadly for us it did) I would have been glad I instructed it, for both peace and mind and also the knowledge I left with about what the source of potential damp issues could be in the future and how to deal with them.

Dan was excellent and conducted a survey at short notice despite plenty of obstacles. He also provided advice and guidance following his survey. Emma was also very helpful
