Southampton Municipal Golf Course
It's a brilliant golf course next to a sports centre due to be extensively rebuilt. Lovely views from the golf house terrace and excellent coffee. Great dog walk through the sports centre from the Lordswood gardens car park. Coffee break in the golf house which retains 1930s features and walk back. Brilliant when the rest of the world is muddy because this is all hard standing.

Generally only play the 9 hole course. It is definitely a course mainly for hackers" and beginners. Can get very slow to go round when busy. £12.50 for a round at the weekend.Some of the greens are terrible and there are currently 2 temporary "greens" which are impossible to put on due to being mostly rough. Really should reduce the price when this is in place.But good if you are still learning or wanting a bit of practice."

Lovely course , was very busy so was extremely slow. Some of the tees need some attention as no grass on them , greens were quite poor, quite patchy and very bobbly.

Southampton Municipal Golf Course
A 27 hole golf course just off The Avenue, set in a beautiful well kept setting.We played the 9 hole course, which is challenging but a rewarding way to practice especially if like me you haven’t played for a few years!The fairways are managed well & the greens are in good shape too.Recommend it if you want to go and whack a ball round for a few hours!

Southampton Municipal Golf Course
Played the 18 hole course for the first time today. The course is in really good condition and has some really nice holes. A group of us came over from the Isle of Wight and even including the ferry cost it was great value for money. We will definitely be returning.

It's a nice course but the day we played they basically robbed us as it was wet.... unplayable wet...!!! Even a couple of greens were flooded.But cheap and cheerful....some stunning holes especially on the back 9

Love this course.Easy to book and to drive to.Fairways are forgiving here, so definitely better place to start golf.Fairways and greens well kept.

The 9 hole course plays second fiddle to the 18 hole course but is still a good work-out for the average golfer and is good value for money.
