Food was good, not brilliant. Appreciate that there was a choice of smaller or larger portion. Service was patchy, room was cold. Was told, when I booked I could have a quiet table, but on arrival said the room was in use for a shower, presume baby shower! All in all quite ahoidneal. Preferred the afternoon tea i had last week, it was excellent & I would return for another afternoon tea.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here.Staff were brilliant with a nice warm welcome.Food was exceptional.The best part was the atmosphere with everyone enjoying themselves having a good natter and enjoying their meals.Would definitely recommend this place.Need to book as it was really busy but we'll organised.

I just want you to know how much we all enjoyed my 70th birthday party on Sunday 22nd October 2023. There were over 50 guests all enjoying the wonderful Sunday Carvery plus soup and dessert. Vegans and vegetarians also well catered for.The whole experience was perfect.Venue - lovely and warmRoom - fabulous, spacious, light and airy with beautifully decorated tables/chairsFood - compliments to the chef!! It was second to none. Piping hot and plenty of it, all served very efficiently.All staff are really friendly and attentive plus, Richard, your own personal leadership and input.The drinks arrangements also were just perfect.I couldn't have had a better party anywhere else. Plus of course, I can't fail to mention the magic of Miss Frankie Heart doing her thing.I loved it so much that I am now thinking of our Golden Wedding celebrations in 2025.!!!Sending you a great big THANK YOU to all concerned.

Great position with sweeping views and a building decorated with dozens of superb floral hanging baskets. Inside it is clean and comfortable with brilliantly friendly and efficient staff. We both had fish and chips, which were lovely, and watching the dishes being served to other diners assures me that all the food would be equally good. Well worth making the effort to visit.

Some lovely food, service and the staff were very good.,Very friendly and helpful. It was nice and Clean as expected. And there was some live music on which was a really nice change. I miss those days . . Thank you Chain and ball for doing my request hopefully back again soon. Keep up the good work and the standards.
