Farewell Friend

I phoned Ian in the morning and he was here late afternoon. All our family were together with our beautiful 14 year old River.Ian was very kind and made the whole experience calm and was the best send off we could give her.I would highly recommend Ian and we are all very grateful that he was able to accommodate our wishes on a Sunday.The Watkins family

When we sadly had to say goodbye to our beloved border collie, Holly, we were desperate to ensure she had the farewell she deserved; peaceful, without any fear or stress and at home with her loved ones.Dr. Ian Roscoe was absolutely brilliant. He was very tender and caring to Holly and very compassionate and considerate of our emotions. Would highly recommend Farewell Friend to anyone in the sad situation of needing to say goodbye to their pet.

This was the best decision we ever made regarding our pets. Our cat hadn’t eaten for over 48 hours and was very old, I couldn’t bear the thought of stressing him out by taking him to the vet and I phoned Ian on Saturday morning. With 90 minutes Ian had come and put our little boy to sleep with absolutely zero stress. It was heart wrenching to say the least, but I would wholeheartedly recommend this service if you want the best for your poorly pet. Handled with dignity and compassion at every step. Thank you Ian.

We got in contact with Ian this morning to make the heart-wrenching decision of putting our beloved 13 year old Labrador Trixie to rest. Ian arrived within 2 hours and was so professional, calming, and compassionate. He provided comfort not only for Trixie, but for our family as well. Ian explained everything thoroughly from start to finish. Thank you so much Ian for not letting our dog suffer anymore and taking care of her. I will be making sure all friends and family with beloved pets have Ian’s number saved incase they have to make the tough decision we made today. Ian has made the worst day of our lives that little bit easier. After being let down by our local vets, we were so desperate for someone to come and relieve our darling boy of his suffering. Ian was so professional and empathetic. He gave us time to say goodbye privately and didn’t rush us at all. He took our Ryder away with such care and it was so comforting to know he was in safe hands after his passing.Ian arrived within an hour of us calling him, talked us through the entire process, and was so gentle with our boy.There aren’t words to convey just how grateful we are as a family. Sadly we had to make the decision to put to rest our beloved boy Tank on Saturday morning.For anyone in this position it is obviously an extremely emotional and distressing decision to make but we couldn’t have received a better service from Ian, who was very responsive and caring.He made every effort to get to us asap even though we were around 40 minutes drive away so that our dog didn’t have to suffer any further discomfort.For anyone else who sadly needs this heartbreaking service, please be assured that Ian will be highly professional, knowledgeable and caring to you and your beloved pet.

On Sunday I knew the time had come for Tink my Jack Russell age 17 to leave me. I phoned Dr Ian Roscoe virtually as soon as I could, I was very upset and he was very calming and compassionate and arranged to come over as soon as he could, he had one other call to make before he could get to me but kept me informed when he expected to arrive. The whole experience of giving a sedative to Tink and waiting for her to fully relax and waiting for me to say when I was ready for the last injection was good, she peacefully slipped away in seconds whilst on my lap wrapped in her fluffy blanket, it was the very best I could do for her, my last act of love. Thank you to Ian for being so kind and caring and helping Tink slip away whilst sleeping. I will recommend Ian to anyone, so much nicer than going to the vets.

Wanted to say deepest thank you again for coming to Missy last week. Ian handled her (and us!) with such kindness and care, which made a difficult day much more bearable. We are extremely grateful and happy to know she was taken care of so well in her final moments ❤️
