Visited recently for the first time. Butcher very knowledgeable and informative. The counter was presented beautifully and encouraged us to select a variety of chicken specialties. The coronation chicken burger has to be the nicest thing we have eaten in ages. Will be sorry when they no longer make them. Can't wait to return...

Stunning store with a vast array of local and artisan products. I picked up a 750g rib-eye steak to cook on the BBQ, the quality of the beef was outstanding. Really great indeed. The marbling was outstanding and made for a really juicy steak!!!

As staying in Alnwick, bought several things to boost our larder:- Sausages with Honey & Mead (great), Cheese Scones (great), Craster Kipper Pate (fab), Steak & Ale Pie + Pork Pie with Apple (great), Cold Roast Beef (great) and other delights such as special biscuits and crisps for a treat. Obviously more pricey than a local shop but well worth it. 1 teeny weeny gripe - no fresh sandwich on a Sunday.
