Dees Driving

Took my wife (who struggles with low confidence) out for 2 lessons. After the 1st, Dee raised no issues at all about her driving. After the 2nd, she suddenly destroyed her driving style (by text) and dumped her as a client. Now my wife's confidence is destroyed and she doesn't want to go out for lessons again. Not a friendly instructor at all and we would definitely recommend avoidingEDIT after Dee's first response (subsequently deleted): if an injury occurred or any danger was felt, the lesson could have been stopped at any time (or this could have been mentioned at the time, which it wasn't). I also wouldn't class sound advice as simply stating a male instructor would have more strength to keep a car under control.This was my wife's second driving lesson with Dee and she drove down several miles of country roads without incident (pretty good for someone who had never driven on roads previously), and having flagged to Dee in the first lesson that she felt she had issues with her steering (which I'm sure Dee noticed as an experienced instructor), it probably would have made more sense to practice more of the basics (like steering at lower speeds).You forgot to mention in your response that the lesson continued right until the end and plans were made for another lesson. However in truth my wife found Dee to be very impatient with her (especially when turning at junctions) and was considering finding a new instructor in any case.I would recommend that if you don't want someone as a client, there is no need to send a text message effectively accusing them of having injured you, especially when the lesson could have been halted.We hold no grudge and will find another more appropriate instructor. Great instructor, lovely to chat to and would definitely recommend to learners needing a confidence boost with their driving!

Dees a brilliant driving instructor and helped me so much, cant recommended her enough!

Recommended to me by my sisters who both passed with Dee! She works at your speed and gives realistic goals. She understands that not everyone can get in a car and drive at the get go and works on your confidence so your not thrown into the deep end and put off driving altogether! I will be definitely be recommending her to others who I know that will be learning to drive.

How absolutely horrendous to have a driving instructor tell you after a lesson (and I emphasise the word after, because at no point during the lesson did she mention this, or indeed to attempt to stop the lesson...) that they (and I quote from a text that was sent after 3 more driving lessons were arranged) felt in danger" and "perhaps a male instructor would have more strength to keep the car under control" (potentially the most misogynisticthing I have heard from a woman). That's what happened with my sister. Its been a while since I learned how to drive
