Bought a trailer of David in July and service couldn’t have been better. Great trailer and David was extremely helpful, he facilitated collection when suited us during our travels. Couldn’t fault the service or the trailer. Thanks again.

Ordered an ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus on Sept 11, phoned on the 15th Sept as nothing received and order is ‘processing’, spoke to owner who said “email me your details and I’ll sort it tonight as I’m driving to the boat show”. Again no reply, phoned again in the morning, he was rude stating I had not emailed, so I texted him the email I had sent. Again very rude and dismissive, stating “when I can get to my laptop I’ll sort it”. I then texted asking for refund. Nothing. Texted another time. Sunday morning rude text stating refund processed and can take 5 days, no pleasantries at all. So no item, and Ashton Marine will have had my money for approx 10 days! I dread to think if I had needed after sales help!! STAY AWAY HORRIBLE MAN. Now purchased with a lovely company.His negative reviews seem to be stacking up, wish I’d read them sooner, but he seems to think none are his fault, and I will be contacting ePropulsion to make them aware of this awful dealer of theirs.

Cracking service from this local company. Contacted them to get some lanoshield, arrived in good time too. Also sought out info from this company regarding trailers and trailer parts before ad always received good advice. Would definitely recommend.

How good can it get..........If only the whole world functioned like this: I first met this company at a boat show, who then spent an inordinate amount of time explaining about an electric outboard that I was interested in, but in no position to buy.When I was, months later, all my questions were answered without any impatience or frustration at all, so needless to say, my purchase went to them, even as I was at the opposite end of the country.The price was as good as anyones, delivery was free (!) and generally I have been made to feel very welcome, with all my inane questions happily addressed.Brilliant people to deal with, couldn't be more helpful, and no, I am not affiliated at all, just a very happy customer.

We ordered a boat trailer from Ashton Marine and drove down to pick it up in March. Dave was really friendly and helpful and even threw in an adapter as we had forgotten ours. Unfortunately on the 200 mile drive home one of the wheels came off. When we pulled over, we also discovered the nuts on the other wheel were loose and could be removed by hand. It was clear to us and the mechanic that inspected the trailer, that the nuts hadn’t been torqued. A simple oversight but it could have been catastrophic. To cut a VERY long story short (including Trading Standards and legal advice) Ashton Marine wouldn’t accept that they hadn’t tightened the wheel nuts and instead placed the blame and responsibility on us. Seven months on the trailer is back on the road but we’re out of pocket by approximately £650 (recovery, replacement parts and mechanic). The argument was that we should have stopped and inspected the trailer. We did, but we didn’t check the torque on the wheels - why would you on a brand new trailer or car? Instead, it was suggested that our driving had been the cause of one wheel falling off and the other almost ready to fall off.I suspect that if your purchase goes smoothly you’ll be happy. If it doesn’t, then dealing with Ashton Marine will become soul destroying. The helpful Dave we encountered at the beginning soon turned into someone unpleasant, unreasonable and unprofessional.Dave, this is your business so I’m sure you’ll respond to this review but there’s nothing you can say that will alter facts. My first and reluctant online negative review but having spoken with others I’ve learned our experience dealing with Ashton wasn’t unique.Finally, if you buy a trailer from Ashton Marine always make sure the wheels are sufficiently torqued before you head safely home.

Excellent product and customer service. Order was better than expected. I have purchased a few times and will certainly purchase from Ashton Marine Services again. Dave is very helpful if you have to contact him for any information regarding your purchase or product. Cheers David.

Dave provided a one stop shop for my new boat, trailer and epropulsion outboard motor. He went out of his way to get it all ready for me to collect at short notice so we could start exploring during the Easter holidays.Thanks Dave

Faultless service, Dave is clearly passionate about what he does and offered lots of great advice on restoring an old RHIB. I recently purchased a boat trailer and he delivered it across Scotland and explained its features and maintenance thoroughly. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Just had my new trailer delivered for the rib and its fantastic. Even better than I expected, in perfect condition and looks a lot more durable than my old trailer. Dave has been great throughout the process, very knowledgeable, always responds to messages and went out of his way to deliver it for me. 100% recommend. Jon and Louise Glen
