Had a nice bit of cake and coffee up at this little tearoom if you going to Battlebridge worth going up there for the view there are a few steps to go up to get there. Very friendly staff would recommend this tea room

Always a welcome place to get food food and friendly service. The cakes can't be described, only experienced! We live coming here whenever we're in the area.

Me and sister went to the hideaway never been before she went to order at the till, she was told to sit down and they would come over. We order two coffees and a kit kat the coffees were horrible didn't taste right. Then a lady could have been the manager came over asked us to move as a family wanted our table?? We had to have the small table. We were gobsmacked so paid and left will not go to this overpriced cafe again.

A lovely little tea room with amazing views out across the countryside. We stopped off one Sunday morning for tea and breakfast and the full English was lovely! We also took away some of the scrummy cakes for later. Be warned you do have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the Hideaway but if you have the legs for it then it’s worth the climb! The staff were really friendly and although very busy they managed to serve us quite quickly and were very helpful.

Service was absolutely fine and food was nice, but very expensive for what you get. £9~ for a panini and coffee and an attempt at a side salad. 3/4 of one slice of cucumber, I don't know where the other 1/4 of the slice went though.Nothing wrong with the food and service but not worth the money at all. Although views across the local countryside were very nice.

This is my third time here and it doesn't disappoint! I kept forgeting to take pictures before eating the food. But this time I managed to do so! Theres always excelent service food is great! The staff is Very friendly. I would highly recommend anyone to go there and try the food. If you dont mind going up all the stairs. The views are also really nice and its quiet enough for anyone to enjoy their time there!

We had a very nice lunch here. My husband had sausage, egg and chips and I had scrambled egg on toast. Service was quick and the food well presented and hot.The ladies were very friendly and made me an oatmilk latte by hand. The bread pudding was the tastiest I've had in years - spicy and with candied peel - delicious. We'll be back!

Situated at the top of the pld grain warehouse it what was once the river dock for sailing barges. BSmall but with fantastic views across the upper river Crouch area and the old mill pond.Selection of cakes, sandwiches and basic hot meals such as jacket potatoes. Teas and coffees and some tempting looking cakes.Very friendly ladies serving.Sadly no access for disabled unless they 6 manage 3 flights of fairly steep stairs.
