Follow the path northward into the wood and after a 300 metre stroll two possible routes present themselves: I always take the path down hill to the burn and diagonally across the field to join the old york to skipton bridleway. The view is spellbinding in every direction and one is uncomfortably inspired by that which modern life has deprived us...
